Very disappointed with my families overall experience yesterday. The restaurant didn’t even look like it was open to start with. The young female waitress was probably the best part. She was friendly but took ages to come back and tell us multiple times that they had run out of several main ingredients like Mezcal and Pork. This restaurant needs to be managed better so you don’t run out of ingredients that are in the majority of your menu items!
I love traditional Mexican food and eat it often so was appalled at the esquites we were served. It was just a can of corn with some feta and mayo on top. Try the esquites from the Mexico restaurants and take some tips from them. We ordered a burrito and a chimichanga de pollo and they both looked and tasted pretty much the same…
I would have liked to order more drinks but mine took over 20 mins to be made which was frustrating. Then when we went to pay, they overcharged me for the kids meals which were supposed to be discounted with adult meals on Sunday. The guy at the till was not friendly, kept looking at his phone and wouldn’t refund me. He said he had to call his boss and then asked me to leave my bank account number… What a joke!
To the owner: if this was my business I would be hiring more competent staff members because they are not running your shop well. On a positive note, the franchise in Albany is a lot better (apart from not having any...
Read moreThe food was nice and he seemed lovely but we ordered together and must have eaten a full 40 minutes apart. Our allergic friend had capsicum in her dish despite asking for none. She didn't want to waste food so took it home for her bf. When we asked where our food was they said they'd forgotten not to put spicy mayo on and had to remake it but I had the same as her and mine hadn't come out either. Ended up getting our meals about 12 minutes before we were booked for our escape room and gulped mine down which meant it wasn't enjoyable at all. When I asked what he would do about it he said "I can tell the boss and they will contact you". I said that's not really satisfactory so he offered a free coke to me which seemed well out of proportion given that we had asked where are our meals and said we had somewhere else to be. When I went in to pay he said he could give me a discount for next time. I felt that only serves them to have more business and doesn't recognize that we sat and watched two eat then a long wait till I did and one couldn't eat. Too much damage to our very rare time out to risk returning there and feel our trust as patrons was broken. Staff need the power to repair relationships before it...
