Scoff — Restaurant in Hamilton

Ordered a meal for delivery to a local motel on 17/09/24. After 60mins, called to check progress, another hour, another call. "Sorry, can't understand why your order was not delivered, will need to cancel, sorry" No problem, refund please. "Yes, actioned, you should receive email from Datman to confirm cancelation and refund to be actioned within 3-5 days" To be fair, the owner(?)was concerned about me having no dinner at 9pm, so I agreed to place another order(same as first) and paid the same amount as the first order. It arrived shortly thereafter, but sorry to say it was awful. The real issue I have is yet another email arrived today from somewhere 'overseas' to advise following two enquiries from me, that Datman is 'experiencing some technical issues, but NZ customers are valued and we are working hard at the back end to get this resolved' I would be surprised if I see my money returned ($53), thus a poor dinner 3 hours after initial order ended up costing $106 ($53 each) Buyer beware, and most certainly will never ever again use any place that utilizes Datman to...

I generally don’t leave reviews, but I felt like others should know when it comes to safety.

The previous owners were amazing- it was our go to place for fresh home-style cooked food. Since the take over we’ve received the Worst food we’ve ever had from a take- away place. 4months ago we ordered the chicken and mash (used to be amazing) instead with the take over we were given instant mash, the chicken was over cooked and it was frozen veggies. My toddler didn’t even want to eat it and he loves mash.

We decided to give them another chance tonight with the hopes that they improved or that they got a new chef after 4months. We were highly disappointed with what we received. The pasta was bland, the chicken over cooked and worst of all we got a hard piece of metal in my toddlers food! I recently visited Scoff, and I have to say, it was an absolutely delightful experience! From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the warm and inviting ambience. The place has a cozy yet modern vibe, making it perfect for a relaxing meal.

The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always ensuring that we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Their service added a personal touch, which made the experience even more enjoyable.

Now, coming to the food—oh, it was scrumptious! Every dish was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The portions were very generous, and I felt like I was truly getting value for my money. It’s not often you find a place where the quality and quantity go hand in hand, but this restaurant nailed it.
