Friday 12/03/2021 we visited, 9.30pm one of the few stores still open at this hour. The order: 2 x Bacon backfire. 2 x chips, 2 x Chocolate thickshakes =$55.30 Who charges $14.30 for burger? It better be a fantastic burger! While we waited, we observed the following, front of house staff-twice, picked something up off the floor and then went straight back to the till. Staff member leaving at 9.35pm, parks his car in the disabled car parking, comes back inside says goodbye to everyone and puts his hand in where the chips are sitting, grabbed a small handful of chips with his bare hand and proceeds to walk out to his car while snuffling them down after saying goodbye to everyone. (Did i just see that - YES!) We've just come out of LOCKDOWN and this is the type of behaviour I'm seeing? On to the food. We decided to park up and eat so no photos were taken. The chips were not hot but were acceptable. The chocolate thickshakes were really nice. The burgers..... Honestly - when we opened them, the buns were pushed together and no wonder, 4 large slices of lettuce, a few onion rings and 2 tomato slices. The chicken was cooked, the bacon was fine, but honestly, I've seen better at Tony's Takeaways and they were 1/2 the price. If that's Burgerfuel's best for $14.30 then I'm afraid to say Tony's Takeaways does it way better at half the price. All in all a very disappointing performance. Burgerfuel, you get minus one star for value for money and minus 3 stars for hygiene, cleanliness and presentation. Critical side: I expect more of your staff, to pick things up off the floor and go back to the till area and not immediately wash their hands is concerning at best and downright dangerous at worst. As for the staff member shoving his hand in to a customers food area (the fries pit) and grabbing some fries before yelling out goodbye to everyone, then snuffling them and walking out the door. This is beyond disgusting and frankly unforgiveable. I don't think we'll be back as your staff seem to take hygiene and cleanliness as just words and pay them purely...
Read moreAs a returning customer, I’ve previously enjoyed Borger Fuel’s chicken burgers, which were generously portioned and flavorful. However, my most recent order on April 20, 2025, was shockingly subpar and left me deeply disappointed.
While past visits delivered burgers packed with juicy, well-seasoned chicken, this time, my $29 meal was nearly devoid of it. The burger contained only two meager pieces of chicken, relying entirely on the aroma to imply substance. For a premium price, this was unacceptable. especially compared to the quality I’d come to expect.
What’s more concerning is that this wasn’t a minor oversight. As the last customer of the day, I anticipated freshness, but instead received a poorly assembled, half-empty burger that felt like an afterthought. Consistency is critical in the food industry, and Borger Fuel has unfortunately failed to maintain it.
I hope the management addresses these drastic inconsistencies in portion sizes and ingredient quality. Until then, I caution potential customers to temper their expectations, as your experience may...
Read moreI asked the server how long the burger would be when ordering and she gave me order 75 and said 15 min, I came back 20min later and asked the server if it was ready to collect and she asked the flippers. The little quips/flippers looked super miffed and started yelling out for order 73 looked super agro (pms style, like no one has ever flipped a burger or been busy before) I've never been side eyed by someone cooking a burger and gossiping ever. The server said 3min please (she was lovely). Main quip scowled at me followed by his short blonde friend who looked at me like I had raided the last tampon, like I was being unreasonable for trying to collect the order paid for in more than the timeframe casually suggested. Get these guys emotional support. It's too hard. Also pay the server more for dealing with them, such composure and probably counseling them on...
