This place is wonderful, nice food, nice atmosphere and you feel well taken care of. But there are some issues below.
The food is nice, although I have suspicions that the pizza dough is frozen, store bought pizza, which is something that isn't expected when paying 25 dollars for a pizza. And their prawns may also be frozen as well as there are majority big prawns, but I for some reason got a very miniscule sized prawn, it was very suspicious, but I have no proof of it being frozen, just my opinion. And the pasta we bought was tough, and wasn't cooked enough and the noodles were stuck together, not very pleasant but the sauce was delightful, although the seafood pasta I believe wasn't very good, bland and no sauce almost, the #6 though, fabulous. The pizza is good, but not great and when I got my pizza, the bottom and top was well charred and gave it a sexy look, but some of the bottom was gone, presumably stuck to the pan or whatever, not very cool. Also the food took roughly 27 minutes to arrive, which is 3 pizzas and 3 pastas. And I recommend the tortellini's, they are great with the #6 pasta. 😉
The staff. The waiters were nice, compatible and easy to work with, they are too quiet though. This resturaunt is Loud I mean, really loud, the music is loud, the venue is Completely packed with people talking everywhere, and the quiet voices from the waiters do not help and is hard to hear. The kitchen is very open and can be seen which is nice to be included and it's nice to see hygiene like hats being worn to prevent hair.
The atmosphere. The place gives off a very warm and cozy vibe, it is distinct and is very common, yellowish orangish lights to light the place, makes a very warm atmosphere, I think best suited at night, not evening, night. The placd is good, although, I don't like 2 things, 1, the seats, I know it isn't really their fault, but the seats are difficult to sit in, as a 14 year old boy, the seats are way too small, it's uncomfortable and hard, you'll be lucky if you get the soft seats at the kitchen side of the restaurant. 2, the entire cozy vibe is kinda destroyed by the concrete space at the top of the vacinity, it doesn't match the resturaunt at all and looks out of place, it would be cool if they had fixed that up, it looks weird and diminishes the cozy rustic vibe.
Might I add, you should book a reservation, and they do do reservations over the phone, real easy and simple, gove name, time and phone number, good service👍. Do this to get a garunteed spot, as it may be full. And it doesn't cost extra, which is cool.
Also it's nice to see some fresh parm grated on front of you, goode effort goode Brothers. And adding to this, you have access to fresh basil, like legit fresh basil, still growing right on your very table, take some, I would rip it, and garnish it on your food, adds...
Read moredisappointed! 7 adults and a child so big bill …. I will start with the child’s pasta..bland expecting our child to have no taste buds 🤷🏻♀️ stodgy and tastes like a mouldy fridge, overcooked and nasty. The only positive with this dish is they agreed not to charge us.
The Rib Eye steak was under cooked and unpleasant on the pallet, my poor taste buds, this cow was killed in vain. The lemon lime and bitters that was intended to wash down my rib eye was too strong, some lemon and lime to compliment the bitters would have been nice.
The over priced seafood platter, my biggest regret. Why give me frozen fish when the Auckland harbour is around the corner, flaky, dry and the nasty batter couldn’t even cover the stink of this. 4 chilli prawns w no chilli the best part was the cherry tomatoes they reseted on. The prawns twists were reasonable then again thank you gilmours. The calamari in the seafood platter plus the one ordered on the side was just clumps of flour falling of and bursting in my mouth, unpleasant. The best part on this dish was the aioli. We ordered the side of chunky cut soggy unevenly cooked fries to go with it, again the aioli saved the day.
We also ordered two chicken burgers. Had no taste, the friend couldn’t even describe it, it was grey. One had a flat coke no zero and the other coke was on point
The lamb salad with beetroot was great il give them that. Only dish that was left clean however we did have to re-toss the salad to find the beetroot.
In conclusion the french martini, the aioli and the beer were the only saving grace.
Need vegan option on the menu. We weren’t going to risk it...

I did ask to speak to manager i was told otherwise? They ones targeted didnt want to make a fuss, but Im going to call this out because your restaurant should be aware of employlees customer competence in and are a bad reflection of your good name! As a restaurant proprietor👀 and belive me I have had my years of being employed in customer services, this incident not only look racist but also discriminative. So please if you chose to dine at this restaurant make certain you and the people dinning are treated with equality and fairness 👀big ups to the kitchen staff food prep (although the waiteress got some of our steak meals over done when asked for m/rare.:: cheers✌️ and the guy who put the shade for our ones who were getting blinded by the sun while waiting for our meals and beverages ☺️ top of the...
