Iâm genuinely disappointed with my most recent experience at Lone Star â itâs a real shame to see how far this place has fallen from what it used to be. We were excited for a good meal, but instead left frustrated and underwhelmed.
Firstly, the wait times were completely unacceptable. We waited over an hour and a half for our meals to arrive, and my friend didnât receive her margarita until 45 minutes after ordering â and when it finally came, it was barely drinkable. Not only did it taste off, but it was clear no care had gone into making it.
When the food finally came, it sadly didnât redeem the experience. The ribs were dry and lacked the bold, juicy flavour Lone Star used to be known for. The overall quality just wasnât there â it honestly felt like everything had been sitting under a heat lamp for too long. There was nothing fresh or vibrant about the meal.
Lone Star used to be a go-to spot for a great feed and good vibes, but this visit left me questioning whether Iâd return. I understand places get busy, but the lack of urgency, attention to detail, and basic quality control made it feel like the passionâs gone.
Constructive suggestion: If wait times are going to be this long, customers should at least be given a heads-up when ordering. Better communication and consistency in the kitchen and bar would go a long way in bringing back the Lone Star reputation that used to make this place a...

From then on it felt like we were just dumped there as we never saw the male again as we waited for service.Then after 13 minutes i said excuse me to a waiter(Malissa)but she carried on but it was seen by a staff and she returned minutes later. Yayyy finally we are getting served. Order is placed and on the menu it says you can swap your side and its on the house but when mentioned to Malissa she said no theres an extra charge, i asked her how much extra but she said she will get back to me but she never did. Meal is delivered. As we are eating half way thru we are still waiting for our coleslaw so I asked Malia and she doesn't know so I tell her please don't charge me for something I didn't get. Malia was lovely but Malissa really needs to focus on her customer service skills especially when she's wearing a tshirt that says Manager on the back. First you ignored me when I said excuse me but your colleague heard me who was further away, secondly, you tell me I couldn't swap my side out but it says I can on the menu, 3rd, I never got my coleslaw I ordered. It seemed as one of the waitresses had an attitude one with the really short denim skirt lmfao, she got everyoneâs order until it came to my dad he came late and didnât know what he wanted. When the food came out, everything was fine but we asked for my nephews cheese cake to come out with everything (and didnt) I also asked for kĆ«mara fries instead of the buffalo fries but got a whole bowl of kĆ«mara fries with buffalo fries under my ribs? . Kitchen said I could have the fries for free as it was a mistake but when it came to paying our waitress seemed abit annoyed and slammed the receipt on the counter like I was the problem, yet communication was bad on her end and as I was walking away she whispered something in the other girls ear.
