Road House Korean Restaurant — Restaurant in Henderson-Massey

We had our usual go-to in the area for Korean but seeing that it’s a newly opened restaurant with decent reviews, we decided to give it a go, not realizing that it’s the start of a nightmare! First, Korean restaurants are most famous for their side dishes. This restaurant supplied only 4 types and they’re generic and unhearty. The food portions were small. The stir-fried dishes we ordered were way too saucy. I wanted a soup dish with meat so I ordered the pork bone soup which was labelled as spicy. When asked if it can be made non-spicy, the waitress said they couldn’t but could ask the chef to make it as light as possible. However, when the soup came, it didn’t taste like the spice level had been adjusted. It was spicy! 🥵 Worst of all was when I got home, about 2 hours after the meal, I started to feel tummy pain and had a diarrhoea twice. It lasted the next day and got worse- diarrhoea, vomit and nauseous. I went to the doctor and was diagnosed gastroenteritis, possibly from contaminated food. Just visited this place for the first time today and wow… I think I’ve found the perfect spot to wrap up a long day! From the flavor of the food to the service and even the interior vibes—everything was on point!

The owner and the female staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the meal feel twice as delicious! 🥰 The stylish interior and super clean environment really stood out too. It’s clear they care about every little detail.

I’m definitely coming back—200% sure! And with such a wide variety on the menu, I’ll be recommending this place to everyone! Don’t sleep...
