Daldang Henderson — Restaurant in Henderson-Massey

I travelled 40 minutes from Hillpark with my 6 year old nephew to the Henderson store. My nephew loves macarons and performed well at school this year, so I felt he deserved a treat. The fatcarons were ALMOST perfect. . . . I say ALMOST because the service left a bad taste in our mouths. The day we went (was a Sunday), the young girl serving behind the counter snapped at me for pointing at the glass cabinet to select my choices (my index nail FAINTLY touched the actual glass) and I just felt stupid and embarassed as I proceeded with my family's order. My instincts were telling me to give it straight back to her, and then walk out without spending my money in your establishment; but my nephew didnt deserve his first Daldang experience to be like that. So we left after buying your products and vowed never to return again. It really dampened the experience. Now, I imagine alot of people must touch the glass resulting in the cabinet needing constant cleaning, but there's assertive and then there's just plain rude! There is a horribly placed note saying not to touch the glass due to the chalkpaint and 34-year old me was well aware of it before I pointed at what I wanted to purchase. I knew not to touch the glass and my family and I really didnt appreciate the way she spoke to me. It's clear that the girl needs training on how to communicate effectively to customers because snapping at me like that was unnecessary and I would hate for her to be representing your company and leaving that same bad taste in other people's mouths too! Food: I’ve only tried the fatcarons, and they weren’t overly sweet. The cream filling was packed generously, which made them delicious. They do feel a bit pricey for their size, but considering that macarons are generally not cheap, it’s probably reasonable.

Customer Service: I think it would be helpful if the staff did a little study or training on customer service. I’ve visited three times in total, and on my last visit, the woman with glasses who served me handled the interaction quite poorly. Despite rising costs these days, the quality of Daldang's macarons has only improved😍 I love that I can enjoy a wide variety of flavours. My favourite flavours are peach & passion fruit, melona, earl grey, black sesame, blueberry yogurt, and mango cheesecake! They look very cute, with a perfect texture - crunchy on the outside, chewy on the inside. The cream is just right - not too heavy or too sweet☺️ I stock them in the freezer and defrost them whenever I want to eat one.
