Henderson is fast becoming one of Auckland’s dining hotspots with an array of standout offerings. Mill bakery joins this group of standouts. They are another off-shoot from the famed Manis bakery. The Mill bakery name is a celebration of flour and the menu features some French pastry classics with a modern Asian twist.
They have a fantastic cabinet and platters selection of beautiful treats including a variety of sweet croissants, savoury croissant sandwiches (including fried chicken), decadent sweet and savoury pies and pandoro’s.
The savoury pies currently served feature a Bolognese style beef pie, potato gratin pie and the Toowoomba prawn pie. How does the name Toowoomba come about? It’s the Australian town that names an Outback steakhouse prawn dish that became a foodie craze in South Korea.
Quality coffee (from Expresso workshop beans), drinks and window bench seating is available.

The sausage roll and coffee bun was so good, I decided to go back and buy some more to gift to a friend I was meeting that afternoon.
The guy at the counter (forgot to ask his name, sorry!) was so nice, he let us taste test the cookie before my companion bought some (she wanted soft, chewy cookies). He was also nice enough to point out items on promos! The friend loved the pastries too!
Unfortunately, we demolished it too fast, we weren't able to...
