The Coffee Club WestCity — Restaurant in Henderson-Massey

I should have check its review before I visited this place. If I knew it has its own rules for VIP club card, I would not come, plus, their own rules were hidden under the reception table and only show you upside down(see my photo). To be specific, this one must see the plastic physical VIP card. If you cannot honer Coffee Club's VIP card rules, do not franchise Coffee Club. Starbucks rules are universal, I never saw any individual Starbucks are different other Starbucks. Many people mentioned the manager is rude and English. I don't mind as English is my second language too, but hidden Terms&Conditions is not my second personality. However been in this country for many years (you opened your own business), it is time to accept and learn English, it will make your life have less difficulties. Rather rude person on the counter who I presume may have been the manager or he simply could have been staff..I'm not sure.. I asked for the muesli bowl with almond milk and berry compote to which he replied that as the muesli bowl was advertised as having those ingredients I shouldn't have asked for them when placing my order. He said I should have simply requested the muesli bowl as is. Honestly he went on and on about something so trivial for ages and I almost turned away and left. But I really wanted to try the breakfast and as it turned out it was very was very nice. No complaints about the food..apart from rather expensive (hence 2 stars) but definitely won't be going back due to the bad attitude of this chap behind the counter who it now looks like might have several previous complaints about his behaviour. I can't recommend this place that...

Not even worth 1 star. I was a regular costumer of coffee 3 years ago and almost went to Dunedin coffee club Every week. After moving back to Auckland, the same dish from Henderson coffee club did not have the same amount compared to Dunedin's. After this I stopped going this place for quite a while. Today I ordered at about 1300 and waited for 20 minutes, understand it's peak time for meals. However, the avocado had darkened /blackish marks on it, asked them to change to fresh one, the cashier man (I think it's the manager?) Said it was fresh just the way of store made it like this. Got refund. Honestly, this is just an excuse, we all know what's a fresh avocado look like. Served late with unfresh food plus not cheap price is not acceptable for any customer. Waist time and money....
