The most absolutely appalling experience I have ever had the misfortune to endure went on a Sunday afternoon the place was quiet we had to wait forever for someone to come to the bar the girl that finally came to serve us was somewhat switched off and obviously disinterested I asked about a drink option and when I ordered one after being told yes they did have what I wanted she then informed me they didn't actually have what I wanted I ordered two side items from the menu and my sister ordered pumpkin soup we waited for over 2 5 minutes for it come and had to go and ask if it was coming when it finally arrived only one of the items I ordered had been completed a bowl of chips supposedly hand-cut they'd forgot to mention hand cut by a machine and not properly cooked lol my sister's pumpkin soup should have been called dishwater soup it tasted as though they had boiled pumpkin drained off the water perhaps put one or two pieces of the pumpkin in a big pot and added a bit of cream it was so disgusting she couldn't eat it there was an accompaniment of the bread roll which didn't even have butter or even have the option to have butter if you wanted and straight out of the chiller with the added minus of the inexperienced and disinterested 3 staff members this is a place I would never return to also an elderly woman stood at the bar for over 10 minutes waiting to pay her bill although there were a couple of staff members floating around trying to look busy nobody acknowledged her being there absolutely disgraceful in every way if there was a minus star rating I would be giving this establishment minus 10...

Worst experience I’ve had in any bar & I’m 40yrs old, my partner works in hospo so I know how places are meant to be I went in on a Friday night by myself it was dead no atmosphere 2 male bar staff were unfriendly...to me anyway...young girl doing the tables could at least smile & interact she was good how hospo staff are meant to be...I asked for cash out to play pokies (I arrived there around just after 8pm) he said we have closed it cos it’s dead...which doesn’t make any sense!? The games just are there like do u close the pool table when it’s dead? Or turn the tvs off?! So real bizarre...anyway I paid $9.50 for Jim beam n coke I asked if I could get $40 cash out...”no sorry the pokies are closed, can’t give cash out” once again bizarre...then after I spent $50 on drinks I went for another drink he said oh sorry we have closed the bar...I politely said really no last call for drinks he said oh we did sorry u didn’t hear it! I’m there by myself had 5 drinks the whole night & the bar tenders literally lying to my face saying that!? There’s only about 8 people there we are all outside I’m sitting in the corner by myself on my ph & he thinks I would not of heard a last drinks call....pathetic service & place will not be back won’t recommend to anyone...also came across as I’m not the type of clientele for them? Don’t want to say it but young Maori guy hmmmm that’s how you made me feel...

So we've been staying at the Lincoln Green hotel for a course for work. It is so convenient to dine at the good home but also, the service is probably one of the best I have received at a restaurant in the last couple of years. I see the bad reviews and I think possibly, they treat you how you treat them. Lee at the bar is one of the nicest guys I've ever met, very organised, very knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. From the moment you arrive you will get a good seat, be looked after, and the food is exceptional. I have had almost everything on the menu and will continue to go and try it all but time after time after time I find myself returning for the lamb rump. Cooked to perfection, good serving size, and well priced (this is a restaurant, not a greasy pub, remember that). Not only is Lee great, but the waitresses are lovely and friendly, they don't do the horrible thing that happens at every restaurant and arrive just as you have an entire mouthful to ask how your meal is, they deliver it and leave you alone as you would expect. If you ask for something, it arrives immediately. If you can't see the value in this place, it's likely that you are the problem, not them. 😊. I will rave about this place to anyone I met for many many...
