Columbus Coffee — Restaurant in Howick

I write to express my deepest dissatisfaction against of one of the staffI(Indian lady)I believe is the owner.We passing by and saw the cafe is beautiful and went in to take a look.We also took some pictures to send to our friends see whether they need anything,during waiting they’re reply we stand outside the cafe and suddenly a Indian lady came and she showed her unhappiness towards us ask where we from and why are we take pictures!This was followed by talking in a condescending manner towards us.We was shocked and explained to her we just send it to our friend see what they want to order.We also apologised to the Indian lady and told her we can delete it if needed.The Indian lady attitude was so rude and condescending !!End up we decide not to order anything because of this Indian lady’s behaviour!We walk over to in front that a cafe name Sierra the staff was a lot better and friendly ,food and drinks was...

I always loved Columbus Cafe and would always give my preference to this brand. The service that I received from the owner of the cafe in Botany was so poor that it puts me off from buying anything there ever again.

Being a pregnant woman you are not allowed to eat raw eggs and not washed vegetables. The owner didn't know not only the ingredients of the meatball sandwich (insisted that it doesn't go with the fries and it did) but also said that they can't wash any greens and fresh vegetables for me. I presume that is required to receive 'A' food safety standards.... As a result I received a bread with meatballs and melted cheese for $21. I asked if you are taking all the fresh non-washed ingredients and mayo off the plate why you are still charging full price of $21? The attitude was pretty much...

Went in to get two takeaway coffees and was served by a young male cashier. During the whole exchange, he had no smile on his face and was very cold, also ignored me when I happily said thanks - fine, maybe he was new to the job and shy. Anyway, we then stepped outside (still in their view) to wait for our coffee (didn’t want to be in people’s way). Expecting they would let us know when it’s done, we waited for 5 min and no one came. So I stepped inside to have a look. When the older man inside saw me, he yelled takeaway coffee with a huge frown on his face, even after I smiled with thanks… was that really necessary? I am so confused. So many workers in the store and no one could bother to show a friendly expression. Was excited to visit after they reopened but would definitely not...
