Hollywood Bakery and Espresso — Restaurant in Howick

Absolute catastrophic failure. Came in with a group of friends, I ordered Eggs Benedict, I thought what is this? a breakfast for ants? it was so small and not worth the money spent. First friend orders a big breakfast, I have never seen eggs been ruined before. They were dry, sickening and terrible eggs. Friend next to me ordered french toast, they put berries on it that was still frozen, My other friend orders hotcakes, he gets told after they bring out the food saying they have none and replaced it with french toast. Another friend ordered food which took a significant more time compared to everyone else who had eaten what they could of their terrible meals. Ordered the corn fritters. Someone in the kitchen needs retraining. Worst I’ve ever had in 50+ years. They list sweet chilli as an ingredient, doesn’t say that it dominates the dish, food completely smothered and then they surround the food all around on the plate as well. Toooooo much. That just added to the bad experience. I am sitting here taking things in and notice I fortunately sat at the one clean table. We went for lunch at the Hollywood Bakery at Botany Junction East Tamaki. The cafe was so dirty and disgusting inside and out that it put us off ordering food. The service was poor. The outside tables and surrounding area were filthy. Begrudgingly cleaned by staff upon request. The toilets were disgusting, no soap , rubbish and urine on the floors. Flies hovering inside.
