Village Wholefoods Cafe — Restaurant in Howick

Food wasn't too bad, the service on the other hand may need a bit of sprucing up!.. The display cabinet seemed to be out of order, the labels that were on the food was incorrect because when I asked for the item in which the label was on, she said they were sold out, I then pointed out to her what I was looking at, she had a look and said they weren't what I asked for (sorry I cant remember what it was as it happened 3 days ago) and said its a quiche, I said I'll take it, then just said to her that the labels in the front are wrong, she just ignored me - at this point I was not enjoying her service (there is noone else behind me but I felt she was trying to rush me and get rid of me) Got a slice of pizza and a slice of cheesecake for $9 which totalled $24 and happily went to my car to enjoy my treats. I work in a Customer facing job and I know some days are harder than others, I was thankful for my goodies, gave her a nice - Thank you, have a lovely afternoon!!.. First and last trip...

9 months ago, I walked in as an average customer without the team knowing I'm an enthusiastic food reviewer paid by massive corporations. The staff greeted me and took some time to get me a table even though there were many open! I ordered a standard salad and it was cooked beautifully by a handsome chef. It came to the table with amazing garnish and flavour out of this world, unfortunately this was accompanied by a bratty waiter that should be in school! The overall atmosphere didn't match the small town which was disappointing, I would've expected a small cozy that corroborated the flavour, but instead it matched the works with the likes of famous Russian architecture Konstantin Melnikov. 3/5, 6/10,...

Went here for the first time today, and was pleasantly surprised. It was great to be able to eat anything in the café and I could treat myself to something sweet and a mocha whilst maintaining keto. There were savory (e.g. quiche, scones) and sweet items (e.g. cakes, slices, cheesecake) in the cabinet. Not sure if they do meals too, that would be super awesome if they did. I can't wait until we're out of lockdown so I can bring my friends here to eat in. It's quite far, but I'll be coming back, worth the trip! I recommend the...
