Best Ugly Bagels — Restaurant in Māngere-Ōtāhuhu

Today I went to get me a TAB as I was starving and was looking for something healthy. I know the TAB and generally all food available at this facility is expensive, but I do not mind paying the extra money for something that I can grab at go which is healthy. I arrived at the country at around 1315 and there was a couple ahead of me who had made an order. The lady behind the counter was busy speaking to the customers who seemed to have an issue with their credit card. I was patiently waiting in line for my turn which seemed to drag on and on which was ok. I ended up waiting in the line for 10 minutes without any acknowledgement or interaction by the person serving. Finally, after 10 minutes it was my turn and I walked towards the person who was serving and greeted her with a smile and a "Good afternoon". To my surprise and shock, she totally ignored me and walked away towards the back of the shop and started talking to one of her colleagues. I stayed there for another minute hoping that someone would notice my presence there, but once again, the woman kept speaking to her friend and continued to ignore me at which point I walked away and went to another establishment to get some food. Extremely DISAPPOINTED Uglybagels. Customer service 101 I am sorry. Not sure who trains your staff but courtesy and etiquette are the basics of customers service which this woman clearly lacks or probably does not even know...

I go to best ugly because I know the service and the food but the Auckland airport Best Ugly is lacking on their company best practice . The staff didn’t yell out the order , there was no vibe or energy in the kitchen . We watched the girl slowly slide around the kitchen making orders but it felt like she wasn’t considering the fact she was making food that people were going to eat . The white rabbit had an inch thick of cream cheese - more cream cheese than bread . I had to scrape most off and if just left me feeling physically ill at the excessive mess and waste but also over whelmed the other flavours We also watched the girl preparing the bagels and she just placed a random bagel expectantly in front of us said nothing and walked away. It wasn’t our bagel… we could see one of ours made sitting in the kitchen and the other on the broiler . When it finished she got it out and wandered around the kitchen trying to figure out what to do next . We were kind of thinking please just give us our food . They only called the name for the random bagel a couple of mins later . The whole...

So this is a great idea for an airport. I was excited. I even continued to purchase despite high airport prices. What I got was fast and the jam tastes good. I didn't get a choice of bagel, only one type, strange in a bagel shop. But the bagel leaves me sitting here wondering how old the bagel is. It's tastes stale, the dough is dense, the flavour is minimal. Its served up Luke warm, the presentation is lacking with its pre spread cream cheese and a luck lustre circle of not enough jam... everything you don't want in your bagel. Such a shame really. But I will be in Melbourne in 3 hours where I can purchase a freshly made, killer bagel of my choosing, fully loaded, with salmon or pastrami, a fresh bagel for about $13 instead if $22 It will be the last $11 I spend on jam and cheese. You're needed ugly bagels but you need to improve...
