Domino’s Napier City – The Party, the Pineapple, and the Floppy Chips
When it comes to a feast, Domino’s Napier City certainly delivered—literally. But let me break this down because this meal had more plot twists than Game of Thrones.
First up, the Hawaiian pizza. It came to the party, but let’s be honest, it forgot its pants. With pineapple pieces so sparse I could count them on one hand (and still have fingers left to pick up a slice), it felt more like a tropical suggestion than a full-on luau.
Now, the chicken pizzas? Oh, they were chef’s kiss. Absolute perfection! Juicy, flavorful, and with toppings so well-distributed, they were practically symmetrical. Honestly, they carried the entire meal like a pizza MVP.
The crispy chips, though? I don’t know what happened here. They came out floppier than Transformers 3—big budget, no backbone. I was hoping for some crunch, but instead, I got chips that seemed to be auditioning for a role as mashed potatoes.
As for the large onion rings, I think Domino’s is redefining “large.” You pay a premium price expecting a golden bouquet of crispy joy, but instead, you get half an onion and a prayer. Not bad, just... minimalistic.
The garlic bread was a surprising hero in this story. Warm, buttery, and just the right level of garlicky goodness. If Domino’s ever enters the carb Olympics, this bad boy’s bringing home the gold.
Delivery? Spot on! The driver was friendly, courteous, and so efficient that the food even arrived ahead of schedule, which is practically a miracle in the fast-food world.
Final thoughts: Domino’s Napier City is like that lovable but unpredictable friend. They might forget the pineapple and send limp chips, but they’ll also surprise you with glorious chicken pizzas and killer garlic bread. Would I order again? Probably—just with a side of hope for crunchier chips and more generous...

Living paycheck to paycheck means dominos is our weekly splurge - but they seem intent to ruin it with their subpar and mistaken topings, late or misdeliveries- and then blaming it on us, and even making us drive to the store to get replacements or refunds- WHEN WE GOT DELIVERY IN THE FIRST PLACE.
We let it slide for months when it was just the toppings but NOW, after multiple back-to-back orders have been completely stuffed up- if they've gotten to us at all- we've had enough!!
If this wasn't bad enough, the customer service has been attrocious- a short tempered female (this week) and an accusatory male (last week) were the last 2 weeks supervisors we've spoken to.
Blaming the customer who has photos and the receipt and is just asking for it to be rectified is actually ridiculous. Especially when you're talking about ALLERGIES!!
Often our dominos order is marked delivered 5-10 before it actually arrives, which added to the confusion and delay in organizing a replacement meal.
I'm sitting here, 2 hours later, so hungry that I'm nauseated, waiting for the 2nd attempted delivery of our pizza- no apology or compensation, 4 phone calls later.
Ps we chose the deliver in person option, and we've been pacing and watching out since before it was due to arrive so we know it wasn't left...
Read moreAbsolutely horrendous, aggressive customer service! Our pizzas for four people were delivered almost 30 minutes late which meant they were all cold on arrival, and the vegetarian pizza had meat on it! They were aggressively pushing back over the phone until they hung up on us when we asked for rectification. Upon calling back, they eventually agreed to fully refund only one of the pizzas and when they arrived to take the meat-laden vegetarian pizza back with the cash refund they significantly short changed us. I asked the driver why they gave us less than what they said on the phone and they got very snarky just saying "the pizza is zero dollars so the refund is zero. call the store." and got back into their car and left, just playing dumb and being incredibly rude. We called the store again to clarify why we weren't given the proper refund and again they just hung up on us immediately.
Really disappointing and highly stressful situation. We dealt with three "managers" on the phone, and a delivery driver, so clearly this entire store is run by sheer malice incompetence.
We've had to contact the bank for a...
