An absolute jewel in the crown of Napier is the Sangam Indian restaurant. The decor is delightful with great ambience and attention to detail which provides the perfect setting for the wounderful indian cuisine. The menu is extensive and the food authentic its a pleasure to taste the delights that come from the kitchen. For an overall great experience and authentic indian cuisine its well worth the effort. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately very disappointed. Meal was dry and quick to come out of kitchen. When paying bill gave feedback the chicken was dry and reheated. Chef agreed dry and was cooked earlier in the day and reheated. Small bits of chicken can easily be cooked to order. Throw the mircowave in the skip bin. Wasted dining dollars. It is a real treat for us to eat out. Avoid.

My husband and I were visiting Napier whilst on the Lions tour we love our curries so was looking forward to having a curry. We were both really really disappointed with the food. It was nothing like we had ever eaten before in a curry house. My husbands vegetable curry was bland and tasteless even after adding salt. I had a Chilli chicken dish which came out a dark brown colour and was extremely salty. When asked by the waitress if we enjoyed our meal we had to tell the truth because we had hardly eaten any of it. Her manager looked over to our table and did not aim to come over and ask why we were disappointed or offer any kind of resolution. They were simply just happy to take our money. Im not normally one for writing reviews let alone poor reviews but I would not recommend this restaurant at...

Worst experience will not recommend anyone Man who was serving doesn’t know what is customer service is. Not a child friendly at all. We have to leave in between eating as he said he he gonna serve us entree to dessert all together coz someone else has booked table. But he never informed us before when we first went in ask do you have any table for 7 people n he said yes come in the moment we order he said he will bring us everything together Please I’ll recommend everyone never go there And I ll definitely not go there. We paid for entree n asked him n paid. He never apologises. Worst experience If I have option of giving less then 0 star I would but...

Was very disappointed what happen l went in got 4 meals 2 kids meals and kids mean came with no rice gave us little bit to share around then it I asked for goat mean gave me lamp think l didn’t know l paid more money for goat mean very dishonest about that only think we really like was cheese naan luckily we bought then kids still hungry and my goat mean which was lamb not goat was full of vegetables only 4 little pieces of mean I been many restaurants Indain restaurant but never had this experience what l had it not coming back here again very...
