Community Burgers — Restaurant in Napier

I recently visited this burger restaurant with high expectations, but unfortunately, the experience fell short. We ordered a couple of burgers, but all had an overwhelmingly sour taste. The sauce was excessively tangy, and the pickles added an extra layer of sourness that overpowered the other flavors. It felt like every component was competing to be the most acidic, which made the burgers hard to enjoy.

On top of that, the portion sizes were quite small, especially considering the price. For what we paid, I expected a more satisfying meal. The value just didn’t match up.

Overall, I left feeling disappointed. If you’re a fan of bold, sour flavors, this might work for you, but for me, it was a miss. I hope they consider balancing their flavors and offering better portion sizes...

Forgot to get photos the last time but we had fried cauliflower, chips, and burgers. They put my gluten free bun on as soon as I walked in so it was as toasted as possible and made my burger just perfect because they remembered I wanted it more heavily toasted from a precious visit. The beef patties are the bomb by the way. They offer a range of drinks, both alcohol and sans alcohol. I will probably work my way through the burger menu over time. The best burgers in the bay!

Absolutely loved my visit to community burgers. From the moment you walk in the door it’s a great experience. A beautifully decorated space, with seating inside and outside. Claire and her front of house team offer great service, always smiling and providing delicious cocktails!

The food is amazing. I had the captain and it is a classic beef burger done perfectly. I can’t wait to try the rest of the menu. This has definitely become my new favourite...
