Awful. And that is being polite about it. It started really well, we sat down, they offered us guacamole and chips, then the down hill side. My wife and I were sat next to a loud speaker, then we were surprised by the size of the guacamole and chips (which we thought we complimentary as we have had before). There was a charge on the bill later. Very sneaky and misleading. You shoud be clear about complimentary versus being charged. The guacamole was average at best and I have had better chips at the local diary. Starter was the ceviche and cauliflour. I found PLASTIC in my ceviche. Twice, and rather large pieces. God knows from where it came. Cauli did not arrive until we were halfway through the main and was enough to feed an entire family. Which is, in these days, a complete waste of food. Main meals - prawn and fish taco were rubbish. Fish was fresh from the frozen section of the local new world and the prawns were tasteless as was the 3 day old tacos. My wife's quesadilla was the size of a New York calzone, again, way too much food, but on a positive note, my wife did enjoy the brisket. Ceviche - the staff apoligised, offered to replace, said there be no charge and would see what else she could do. It was dissapointing to see, who we thought was the manager, hiding when paying the bill and letting the cashier deal with the clearly unhappy customer. This was dissapointing as the 'manager' clearly stated 'we will see what else we can do'. Here is a tip, how about you consider offering to deduct other items from the bill, starting with the not so complimentary quac and chips. Or, offer drinks or desserts, at least make some effort! Poor food, slow service (we had to ask on multiple occasions to clear the table), and nobody taking a lead role left me thinking, as a tourist, we will be strongly be advising people to give this a miss, especially if you have tasted good mexican food before as this is someone pretending to be a mexican...
Read moreShocking, for a quiet Wednesday night you’d think they’d have plenty of time to create great food and give quality service. We stood and waited to be seated for that long we decided to ask if we could find a seat and was given a bad attitude, the attitudes when being served felt very unwelcoming. All the young staff were standing around talking and even sitting all outside vaping ect. One young girl was working hard on her own. Our mains came out first and were soggy and cold, then the entries came out later and were also cold, the chips were wrong and when asked for the right ones I was given a disgusting attitude with no apology when the right one was slapped on my table. As customers who have always had a great experience this completely ruined it for us. Really disappointed and I suggest getting a new team because that’s really what’s letting your business down as we know how good it use to be. If an adult was present we would’ve mentioned something however the staff were clearly not mature enough to take...
Read moreGreeted at the door by casual and friendly staff who showed me to a table and whilst I waited for the rest of my group to arrive, brought me some water which they put in old tequila bottles. Needless to say, when my group arrived some were shocked to find me what appeared to be large glasses of neat tequila... But not super shocked.
The decor is lovely, very welcoming and rustic whilst being true to the Mexican theme. Had a couple of classic margaritas, as standard they came over ice with salt rims, AS THEY SHOULD BE. They were truly delicious.
The menu is large and catered for everyone at the table, including me, a vegan. A few options for me to choose from, all sounded great. I had the nachos but found the jackfruit a little bland. Someone else at the table had the vegan quesadillas and said they were amazing.
Really nice to have more than one vegan option. Lovely attentive staff. Good food. Great drinks...
