Absolutely no courtesy and commonsense with wait staff, almost working in a dazed trance state! Asked for baby chair, completely forgets and when questioned again, service girl replies, i was busy writing up menus on the chalk board???, indirectly can you wait! and no cares about the uncomfortable baby while my wife calms him down. Owner was present and ignored the situation, i guess the success of jolt cafe has gone over her head.

Ended up leaving as the baby spilled the coffee, which we paid for (no problem). But the attitude and un friendliness just complete amuses me. I'd love to see such workers on an international scale, perhaps won't last a shift!

Neither will we be back at cibu nor jolt. There are far more friendly places who have trained staff around baby's and toddlers and are courteous, polite,...

Cibo went down in my ratings yesterday. My friend and I ordered and paid and were seated outside. Tea and coffee arrived , no problems. My " Moroccan Chicken Panini arrived with: " Did you want to eat together, because chef has just started preparing your " lamb salad?" "Well yes of course, how long will it be" " About 5 minutes or less"

At least 10 minutes later it arrived, and was delicious my friend said. However, the Moroccan Chicken was not good. Very low standard Panini bread, a couple thin pieces of chicken ,no flavour and perhaps a teaspoon of ? coleslaw; something beige coloured ? sauce? cheese?, pressed, with little bowl of red chutney? Where Morocco comes into it I don't know. It was not the taste or look for sure! Total $48. I won't...

We visited CIBO Cafe in Whangarei for breakfast and was pleased with the friendly service team, who attentively answered our questions and accommodated to my allergies, even during a busy morning.

The breakfast was beautifully plated with flowers, adding a touch of elegance to the presentation. The coffee quality was excellent, providing a satisfying start to the day.

However, the portion sizes felt a bit small relative to the price paid, which was slightly disappointing. Additionally, it was pretty noisy for a weekday morning, likely due to the bustling atmosphere.

Overall, a nice spot with good coffee and attentive staff, but perhaps consider the portion sizes and hours when...

Lively cafe with warm yet professional staff, decent prices and fairly good food. It has an outdoor seating veranda and you order at the counter. It is a single room so gets quite loud, but it’s a great spot to stop for breakfast. Excellent coffee and good Wifi. My only criticism would be the cold salsa served with the poached eggs on sourdough. It’s already difficult to keep poached eggs warm - you do want something like a salsa with a bit of acid and sweet to compliment the eggs, but being ice cold it’s just really unpleasant to attempt. A small bowl of homemade beans, roast tomato or even the heated salsa would have been a nice addition.
