A group of four of us came here for dinner on Sunday night. While the food was good and waitstaff were friendly it was overshadowed by the lack of communication between the staff. One member of our party ordered a Carnivora pizza and there was a mix up which led to her being served the wrong type of pizza. She sent it back asking for the pizza she ordered although this message apparently never made it to the chef as the rest of us finished our mains, ordered dessert and ate dessert all in the time our friend still hadn’t received her pizza, despite having told two separate waitresses she was still waiting on her meal. Eventually she did get her pizza (to takeaway as it was getting late)after getting the attention of a third waitress. They were kind enough to give us the pizza for free in the end which was a satisfactory conclusion to the problem. Just a shame about the muck up. Other than that everyone else’s drinks, mains and desserts came out promptly and were tasty.

Food was average, service was below average. Definitely the last time for all of us. In multiple instances that we have received unnecessary rudeness coming from one of the staff (who seems to be the manager). Pretty much ruined the experience. It feels like we are always talked down upon. Probably the worst I have experienced in town. Food portion was tiny. We ordered the paua ravioli despite a friend's warning - portion was small (as everything else) and bland. Got a few entrée, mussels and meatball, not worth it. Everything else was pretty average, only good thing was the salad. There are plenty of Italian places in town that has better food for the price and especially, service.

This was one of our best dining experience during our 2 weeks visit in New Zealand. John, the owner was friendly and welcoming, something that we didn't encounter much in New Zealand. I ordered a carafe of wine and when John came to our table, he offers me to taste a few wines that he has. He was happily replaced the wine that I ordered, with better Italian wine that he let me tasted... without paying extra. What a hospitality. John is also the pizza Chef and the pizza was excellent. He is passionate with his food and business. No wonder the restaurant was patronised by Mr. Tony Tan (Singapore President) during his visit in Wellington. Highly recommended.

Please bring back the old CinCin!! Who’s owner John would always make you feel like a valued customer and would always attentively walk around to assure that you were satisfied with your meal and drinks. Booked last night to have a anniversary dinner with my husband after not frequently for quite some time as the last time we were there mid last year sometime we were totally rushed with our meal and left within a hour of being seated and made to feel less than welcome by the two servers that we had Attending to us. Walked in restaurant fairly quiet seated at a good sized table which was nice as mentioned on booking it was our anniversary. Ordered some drinks and looked at menu, ordered some starters was asked if we knew what mains we wanted so she could just let chefs know . I asked her not to rush us as we weren’t in any hurry and are wanting to have some drinks during & in between courses. Ordered the bacon, mushroom pasta but asked for linguine instead of pene and please add chicken as that’s how my husband has loved it when we have dined here in the past . Was happy to see paua ravioli was on tonight as another favourite so ordered also to share and stated once again that was our starters we didn’t want mains put through until we were ready. Paua ravioli came and we were truly disappointed as this wasn’t the creamy tasting dish we have had in the past sauce was very underwhelming with flavour not creamy, pasta undercooked it hadn’t even combined with sauce and texture of paua inside ravioli very qritty and chunky even lacking in appearance. Mentioned this on being asked how was the Ravioli by server but didn’t really seemed phased at all or apologetic. Ordered a couple of more drinks and once again said no rush please we will have a couple of drinks then put through mains . Next minute mains put on table in front of us with our drinks pizza and pasta dish no linguine as asked . Asked the server when delivered if she had not heard me when I said we wanted to wait to have mains as we weren’t wanting to rush but she said sorry I’m new here and it had already been put through. Asked to talk to original server who I think was the manager on the night fineally came over and mentioned again that we asked not to be rushed and this is pene not linguine and she just apologised and walked away . There was no,one really in restaurant as rainy night but once again we were rushed so that obviously staff could close and leave, left extremely disappointed and feeling like our anniversary had not been a special night what so ever. Please John be more visual in your restaurant you make the experience along with assuring the quality in service and having a enjoyable dining experience at CinCin. Won’t be rushing back...

Cin Cin is a true Italian Restaurant in Wellington, NZ. We dined on the Tuesday after New Years and the place was packed. Worth noting there was no holiday surcharge!

We started with a bottle of Chianti and ordered "Garlic Bread" made with Pizza bread, Garlic infused olive oil, oregano, touch of sea salt – baked in wood fired oven and then "Bruschetta Italiana" toasted bread rubbed with garlic topped with rocket, ricotta and fresh tomatoes drizzled with olive oil and balsamic for appetizers. The appetizers were good but the bread on the Bruschetta was non eventful.

We followed with entrees of "Conchiglioni Spinaci" prepared with Pasta shells filled with spinach, Zany Zeus ricotta, mozzarella and hint of nutmeg cooked in chef’s special napolitan sauce, " Wow really enjoyed this dish. Then a serving of Wild Rabbit Ravioli" made with Home-made Ravioli filled w/ slow braised wild rabbit served with a light napolitan sauce. Highly recommend the the Rabbit Ravs! Then "Lasagna" layers of organic beef Bolognese, mozzarella, parmesan and béchamel served with salad. The lasagna was needed a little more zing for me. Our last entree was "Risotto Wild Mushroom" Saffron infused risotto cooked with Portobello & wild mushrooms and a hint of gorgonzola. Good as well.

Our meals were very good and the service was excellent. Highly...

Came here for a friends 21st birthday. Just want to preface that all the staff were lovely, and food was nice. We were greeted, sat down at our booked table and ordered a round of drinks pretty instantly. Once our drinks arrived, our waiter placed down the food menus. Not even 1 minute after he had placed down our food menu, the head chef and owner of the establishment came up to our table and started shouting at my friend who had booked our table and whose birthday we were all celebrating. Not only was this humiliating for our friend to be yelled at infront of her friends and a busy restaurent on her birthday, but he was threatening that if we did not order right at that second we would be asked to leave. Keep in mind, the waiter had literally JUST put our food menus down for us. Super confused as to why he was so mad, as we showed up on time and were ordering according to when the wait staff came over to us. This obviously put us all in a really uncomfortable mood for the rest of the night. Wait staff were apologetic, but man that chef has got to sort out himself out. Could be a really cool space if he didn't disrespect his patrons. Food is good, but not good enough for...
