Clove Whitianga (Indian eatery & bar) — Restaurant in North Island

Before I begin my comments, I’d like to share that I’ve been a restaurateur for many years. During my time studying hospitality in England, I had the opportunity to enjoy a lot of Indian cuisine, which left a lasting impression on me.

Dining at Clove brought back many fond memories of those experiences. The food was exceptional—full of authentic flavor and beautifully presented. The service was equally impressive: warm, welcoming, and efficient, always with a smile.

Overall, it was a truly delightful experience. I can confidently say that Clove is one of the best Indian restaurants I’ve dined at in a long time.

I went in tonight and ordered takeaways for the family, full of hope after reading and hearing so many wonderful things. Unfortunately that hope didn't last long. We ordered two hot lamb curries- one came out very mild in spice and the other had 5 pieces of meat and a slightly warmer spice temp. We got our daughter the children's butter chicken and she got three pieces of chicken in her meal.
