I'm travelling with family and my toddler was being somewhat noisy as they usually do. The restaurant couldn't give us a high chair. Before anyone stopped by and took our order, the management came over and asked if we'd rather takeaway the food as my child was being noisy! My first instinct was to leave and take my business to a more family friendly place but others in my party were hungry so I insisted we'd prefer to eat in and they compromised by offering us to move tables.

Food was average.

When I went to pay I was told their card machine was broken and they cannot accept contactless payment. I told her I did not have my physical bank card with me. I said it is the restaurants responsibility to inform guests before they eat their meal that the most popular payment option is not available.

She said I should have informed her before eating that I do not have my card and began raising her voice telling me she will not inform customers of the card machine issues before they eat.

Fantastic service and wonderful food. I tried a red curry and was worried about the spices, but the server was happy to make it mild and bring out more spice when I wanted it. The chicken satay was moist and flavorful. I was actually in search of Thai food because I had bought a bottle of wine specifically to pair well with it. Herbs & Spice was happy to let us bring in our bottle. I was much happier to sit in the restaurant than do takeout and enjoy our wine.
