One of the top worst experiences at a kfc I have ever had - and I have been to quite a few! When I arrived there was a line of customers out the door but absolutely no staff member at the counter. None of the four new express order machines were working. When a staff member finally came out she took a large order without telling the customer that several items on the menu were not available. Thus followed a 15 MINUTE refund which included a manager coming to the till and completely stuffing up the refund! No apologies or explanations were offered by the manager or floating staff member to the exasperated customers. Once the refund had FINALLY been competed both the manager and the staff member disappeared!! When I finally reached the counter there was no apology or welcome greeting or any listing of items unavailable. I tried to place my order but was told sullenly by a new staff member that because they had run out of gloves, no burgers or double downs were available, they had run out of hot and spicy chicken and there was a fifteen minute wait on wicked wings!!! Again no apologies or apologetic explainations were offered - and we as customers were then expected to spend substantial money there!! Terrible service. There were no signs or notes notifying customers of the food problems, which meant you had to wait for at least 15 mins to be told your desired food was not available! Thinking and ordering ahead of food preparation items and food items should have been a priority for a holiday weekend! When I reluctantly returned the next night, there was no rush or large crowd, but the food ordered was below average. Chips cool and hard. Read moreUnbelievably terrible service. Had to order at the register as the online app nor the electronic boards allows u to customise the burger and the kids don't like mayo on their burgers. Went to the cashier who seriously had no idea what to do - 3 times during the order she just walked away to look for someone to help her work the register. No acknowledgement- just walked away whilst I was ordering. She didn't have a trainee badge on but definitely should have because she was clearly not experienced. We then waited 20 minutes watching people come and go with their meals. When there was a lull, and I was the only one waiting I asked as to the status of the order and was told that the delay was with the burgers due to having to cook the chicken patties despite the cashier not actually checking with the staff so now she became a mind reader. We eventually got our order and the burger patties were luke warm so clearly not true that they were being cooked and the reason for the delay in the order. The rest of the meal was chicken pieces chips and potato and gravy so nothing that was out of the expectation of timely service. By the time we ordered and sat down to eat it was an hour. No apology, no care and pretty ordinary food......oh yeah and they put the mayo on the burgers anyway! What a waste of time. Read moreI rarely give out 5 stars. Usually, I give 4 stars because there is always room for improvement. KFC ROTORUA AMOHAU ST EXCEEDED ON MANY LEVELS. Was firstly served by Trent, who understood what we wanted and didn't rush the 2 fussy customers from Auckland. We sat down in the lovely clean store and felt comfortable quite quickly. We noticed Trent wasn't the only person with awesome customer service, but the whole team seemed to work to the same principles. Natural, easy feelings of hospitality. Thank you again, team. Our food came out, and the order was precisely what we wanted. The chicken tasted exactly how it was supposed to as opposed to other stores who like to have their own versions of the Colonel Sanders famous recipe. My friend and I enjoyed the atmosphere so much that we stayed way longer than we should have due to traffic. I was so impressed with everything about this place that I even passed on positive feedback to the manager. Thank you all so much for the outstanding experience. And, I'm even going to go as far as saying " I love you all " Keep up the fantastic energy as we noticed all the customers in at the time we're also smiling, laughing and genuinely enjoying their experiences.
