I love coming here and getting my takeaway coffee (and snack) in the mornings. It's like your local bougie bakery.

Firstly, they make the best flat white in the area. I've had several flat whites near my work from other cafes and they are all surprisingly underwhelming, given Wellington's proud café culture. Not here though. They know exactly what a flat white is (and one way to tell apart from taste is when they don't ask whether you want a small/large), and it tastes great every single time. This alone justifies Little Grump's existence.

But then there are the beautiful pastries. Fresh pastries every single morning. And the question is not whether you should get one, it is whether you should get a second one for later. You know, "just in case".

The atmosphere is beautiful. Modern aesthetics, but the warm lighting makes it feel very cosy. Obviously, I would love more seats, but it is very much a takeaway location with a few seats dotted around just in case you want to stay longer. The baking area and the fresh baked goods really add to the cosy atmosphere.

The people are down-to-earth and friendly every single time. I've always felt that they loved being there, which makes me feel like enjoying the location too.

I’m on a business trip to Wellington and was looking for some great coffee. Coffee 32, with a rating of 4.9, was okay, but Little Grump, rated 4.8, really blew me away. Even though both served lattes, theirs was exceptionally rich and aromatic. Their variety of bread was overwhelming—I wanted to try everything. In the end, the staff recommended three types, and every one of them was delicious. Especially memorable was how cheerful the staff was, greeting every customer warmly. At one point, while I was holding my coffee and bread, a lovely stuff even rushed over to help me open the door. This made my morning in Wellington truly delightful. I’ve wanted to try this place for weeks and finally managed to on one of my days off. The food is absolutely delicious! The quiche was their quiche of the day which had zucchini, dill, feta and tomatoes and the pastry was so buttery. The mocha was lovely and I like that they give you a little bowl of sugar instead of wasteful sugar packets. My friend ordered the salmon sandwich and very much appreciated the side of crisps and a pickle. The aesthetics of this place are gorgeous and I will definitely be coming back as soon as I can.
