Thunderbird Cafe — Restaurant in Wellington

Went there 28.10.15, service was slow. I ordered the Rons Winner - a totally forgettable piece of "food". Very hard to eat with the slaw ooozing out of it. It was served in a plastic basket with a piece of grease-proof at the bottom of the basket, and while liquid oozed out into the basket (assuming it was mayo). My friend had the Chicken Taco - and she too said her food was completely void of any flavour. We had to order water twice and staff were inattentive. Staff did not clear our tables, nor offer any additional food (thankfully). When we went to pay all the staff were standing around the counter chit chatting (on the customer side as we tried to pay). At no point were any staff interested in the quality of our food. I would not bother to even pop in there again for a can of takeaway coke - it all...

Terrible service, we waited 50mins for our meals, without an apology and only after we asked at the 40minute mark where our food was. The table next to us had to have their meal take away because their 1hr lunch break was up!

Our meals included a cheese burger and for what it was at your price was aa RIP off, the meat pattie was dry and very small, 1 slice of tomato again small was the end part of the tomato, iceberg lettuce and a dressing, the tray of curly fries were equally disappointing along with every other meal we were served.

The first time I came here I really loved the place and loved the buffalo wings I ordered. So much so we came back.

The second time the buffalo wings came out literally black 😮 they were nice enough to redo it for me but they came out black again. Really confusing and disappointing, but they were really friendly about it and even reduced the bill at the end.

The vibe of the place, their teas and their friendly staff are what make this place good. Just, maybe don't order buffalo wings because they're a bit of a gamble!

There's every chance this would be a higher rating if I'd ordered...
