The only Farmers store in the downtown central Wellington region. Have shopped here for years, however have had to downgrade my assessment from 4 stars as was the case 4 years ago to 1 star today. Reluctantly, I have had to do this because of the serious fall in customer service I have observed. I recently visited the store to purchase a pair of 32R black dress trousers, expecting to spend 10-15 minutes in the store doing so. Despite 2-3 customers in the menswear section where I was the two shop assistants behind the counter were in constant animated discussion for the entire time I was in the store and I don't think it ever occurred to them that it may have been helpful for either or both of them to see if any of their customers needed any assistance. Not even a hello or a glance over to check on their customers. I observed one customer leaving through frustration with the lack of attention. It took me about 10 minutes of rifling through all of the menswear trouser racks dotted all around the customer service desk to work out that there was not a single pair of black 32R dress trousers in the store. Because of the continued lack of attention I received, and the fact that both the assistants had their backs to the customer sides of the counter the entire time I was there, really displaying that they had no interest whatsoever in their customers needs, and obviously having something better to do amongst themselves, I too left the store without bothering to raise a query with them. I ended up purchasing what I wanted along the Lambton Quay at a competitor shop where they carry stocks of 32R trousers and customer service seems to be treated seriously. I am not sure whether I will ever return to the store again after many years of being a customer, but do hope for other customers sakes that they stop treating customers as if they were made...
Read moreThe ladys who assisted me the first time I went in were lovely and helpful.made my experience so pleasant I bought 3 items in the store. I was a regular custumers till today. Today I went in and an older lady literally came at me as if she had a problem with me sniffing a perfume tester which was available for the public to test. I asked her politely if they had a travel size of the perfume I was inrlterested in and she said gave me the 50 ml With attitude. I explained to her that I was looking for a smaller size cause I have 5 perfume bottles sitting on my bathroom shelf that I regret purchasing. She replys in a very awkward way that sounded rude like she was annoyed "you are very forgetful ah?" and then tried to convince me to get a bigger size. I kindly declined her offer so she left annoyed making me feel like a thief or something not welcome. Actually I have a very good memory and will remember this horrible experience forever. I felt so embarrassed and left without even considering a purchase or wasting any more of her time....looks like not everyone can work...
Read moreHORRIBLE! I am a regular customer to farmers although this was my first time at this location and as soon as I entered 3 different workers were following me around the makeup section keeping an eye on me as if I was a thief!! Looking at my clothes up and down with cheeky attitude in a very discriminating way! They had asked me 3 times do I need help and did not get the hint that I am fine! when they were out of stock of my benefit foundation she had pointed to the cheaper makeup brands as if I can’t afford benefit? I wanted to leave as soon as possible as this was causing me anxiety! I don’t know why their staff are always so discriminating and rude holding themselves on some high pedestal, I’m sure you only make 60k a year 💀 this is disgusting you are equal to everyone else! And should not judge anyone this is not high school! I ended up spending $100 on Bobbie brown as I desperately needed a new foundation even though I didn’t want it I just wanted to leave without them thinking I...
