We just had our Son's 8th birthday at Archie Brothers Wellington. We booked the Big Top package which is $49.00 per child. This includes a game of bowling, party room, huge amounts of incredible absolutely delish food (think proper gourmet pizza, homemade chicken tenders, proper good chunky chips) the kids all received a gift and my Son recieved an extra special present. They allocated lots of drinks for the kids in the price, and then the kids went to play unlimited arcade (yes unlimited !) for 1 hour. It was honestly the most well organised, well throughout party at any venue we have ever been to. We had the worlds greatest party host Laiyne (or spelt lane?) he was AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME. So friendly, and went out of his way to ensure our party had everything we needed. We honestly had the best time. The $49 was excellent value for money. The kids and all the adults had the best time. They ate heaps of food, had heaps of fun, we all thought it was honestly just a super easy relaxed party for the parents - and the most fun ever for the kids. ...
Read moreThe staff member who was there when we arrived at the mini golf was exceptional and 100% gets five stars (1:20pm 12/10/2024). She explained things well and interacted with the kids amazingly. The course definitely left a lot to be desired, and and I was trying to figure out why until I realised that all the obstacles to fit a theme or make it “quirky” got tedious really fast because part of the fun of mini golf normally is that skill or luck can result in a hole in one, and this course is so full of fitting a theme that most of the holes you’re just grateful to get to the hole because the obstacles get old so quickly. Nothing about them is a challenge or something you have to figure out, it’s just something else blocking your way or preventing a move.
I’m aware this sounds nitpicky, and again I need to reiterate that the staff member we first encountered was amazing, but the actual game was trying to hard to be quirky it took fun out of it and was not...
Read moreOk, I'm not into a space of screaming kids, loads of visual, etc. but I may have been won over - I'm afraid to admit lol. There were no screaming kids, just loads of laughter and funtimes. @CommunityNetworksAotearoa was invited to bring some peeps for the Community Night. Dayumn it was fun. I'm ancient, young at heart and invited some young folks with their even younger fols. They adored it, the pizza was soooo tasty, the golf too much fun (and damn annoying - in the good way), the range of stuff to play enough to blow a tiny little mind (I refer to me). The kids had an amazing time; I blew up some zombies, and the parent who were with us - yes, also blew up some zombies, and some space invaders. Did not know there was a bar there - a definite plus. Did I mention the pizza - very tasty. Thanks all of the staff her were a joy (looking at you Paulo). I may in fact have to go again, just to master the golf. A great day out especially...
