Cafe Botannix Whangarei — Restaurant in North Island

This review only this vist. My food wasn't great. It was a Monday & know the cherry tart wasn't freshly done as I expected..and, sausage roll..not bad but not a great tasting one to me..but some will enjoy more. (I have a high standard I compare for these. The old time true ones so I'm a harsh critic of the modern ones. Im always hoping.) Pastry was great though..not too thick. Lovely herb tea. I will be always be back now & then as it is a nice venue with usually ample parking(it can be hard when busy so look outside on the road next to the building or wait a moment)..& nice coffees/teas & many yum...

Nice little cafe inside Palmers Whangarei. The also have a kids menu which is great as many cafes seem to only do adult portions. There are indoor heaters to keep it warm during colder weather and outdoor seating for when it is warm. The Reuben sandwich is delicious, you can choose either half or whole (quite big). Nice hot chocolate and kid's fluffy, parents recommend the fish and chips. Every food item we have tried on our many visits...

We must have arrived here on an under staffed or very busy day. The waitress was aware we had a small dog with us, because she directed us to a dog friendly area. Sadly there were no water bowls available and none were offered. The food was reasonable, and didn't take long to arrive. The food server was a great guy too.
