Santeria Pizza And Pasta — Restaurant in North Island

Ordered for pick up on Uber Eats for my family who was visiting and disappointed doesn’t even begin to describe how I feel about the so called “food” here. I am embarrassed that this is the level of Italian food in Cuba st. The Chicken and Cranberry pizza was cold and the dough was not cooked through. Pizza was also bland and chicken tasted processed from a supermarket packet. The under cooked base was too thin that the overload of bland toppings fell off, and the size was well under 12 inches. We also ordered the Braised Lamb Shank Gnocchi and Seafood Linguini which came in smaller than entree sized containers. For $30 Pasta’s, I was livid that the portion size could’ve fit in a coffee mug. The Gnocchi tasted like baby food - Gnocchi was not even solid, it tasted like mashed potato flakes, olives tasted cheap, Little to no lamb, too salty and topped off with a lump of cheese that wasn’t remotely Italian. The Seafood Linguini Pasta was over cooked and for $31 came with only 3 prawns. The pasta was bland, I could barely finish it and the whole dish was drowning in olive oil and butter, because apparently that’s considered a ‘sauce’. We spent $84 in total and honestly I wished I had gone to Mcdonalds where I would’ve received more food for a better price and quality. As a student as well, I was expecting good value for money and I have been completely ripped off and embarrassed in front of my family who were visiting. The chef there clearly hates their job, there is no passion or love put into this food. We instantly felt sick after what we tried to eat and were left hungry as our food was barely edible. Waiting, Waiting, Waiting...

Visited this place on a Saturday night, surprised how quite it was for a weekend. Was greeted finally after standing around to be told we have to be gone before a certain time because of bookings. We thought this was ok because we had an hour before we had to leave, what we thought was going to be enough time.

We were sat down and started the long wait for what would eventually bring nothing. After 10 minutes someone finally came to take our order. Simple order of 2 drinks and 2 pizzas. And then the long wait started.

After waiting for over 45 minutes with no drinks and no pizza in sight, with multiple tables around us having pizzas delivered and cleared we thought something was wrong. When we spoke to the lady at the counter she asked us what we ordered and then explained how she can’t see our order anywhere.

The amusing thing is that our table was just in front of her, meaning she’s been over looking our table for the last 45 minutes and never thought to ask if we are waiting for anything. The staff didn’t seem to mind too much about us having to wait for 45 minutes without getting our food. With no apologies given I would very much like to receive an apology for this absolutely terrible experience.
