Shady Lady — Restaurant in North Island

Do not recommend in the slightest, we cu were here last night and from the moment we arrived it became a terrible threatening atmosphere. This place is dark , extremely dodgy and the security are rude , to threatening and also grabbed my partners hand. I think it’s extremely wrong for security to act like this as grabbing someone and screaming into their face asking how many drinks they have had is very disrespectful and plain embarrassing, Makes you not even want to come in and spend your money and enjoy the atmosphere . Which now I know next time you definitely can judge this book by its cover. Crowded , rude staff and not to mention the shisha dilemma e we experienced . We ordered one and had to wait almost 40 minutes for it to arrive when no other ones were being used at the time. We went up in a friendly manner to say that we have been waiting for a very long time and we were told they forgot, finally after another 20 minute wait we finally got the shisha. Shady Lady is the best, if not, one of the best clubs Wellington has to offer 2022. I’m unsure if it’s subject to my taste in music but I love it there. Best music, if you love Pop, Hip-Hop, R&B, Shady is your place! I love the addition of the pole, that brings customers (& me) in no doubt + the caravan! Such cool features! Got cut off, was not drunk just randomly refused service no explanation, I'm not one to kick up a fuss and it's not really a big deal but I genuinely have no idea why that happened. I'm not local don't know anyone at that bar, I ordered one ginger beer at the start of the night come back an hour later and get ghosted by half the staff and one girl says I am cut off. I always try to be polite and I inquire as to why I am cut off but get no where (I had a few but I was in a very coherent state).
