Apologies to leaving my sad review here. I was not pleased with the quality of the food. We had several appetizers including popcorn chicken, 2 types of dumplings, and tuna. Among those, tuna was the best! Popcorn chicken was such a diss appointment ! It did not even had a right look! The pieces of chicken looked likes small burn cut off of chicken. The chicken itself was very plain and has no taste. I tried one piece and didnt want to eat that anymore. What made up for this chicken was the sauce. The sauce was good and had an actual flavor. We had pork dumplings and ginger chicken dumplings. Although both representations were pretty and appealing, ginger chicken dumplings did not taste good at all. They seemed to be overcooked. Pork dumpling were much better ! I couldn’t find many options for myself to eat out of the offer dinner platters because each of the meal has at least two ingredients that I dont like. Almost all dishes had either coconut, turmeric, peanuts, and mushrooms. Because I cant have peanuts or mushrooms, my choices were very very limited. I did try duck curry. That was the only choice i could go with . The second choice I could have made is towards sticky pork belly. However, after reading previous reviews I did not wanted to order it. I feel like this place was overpriced. The service was not that great. We had to wait a long time to order appetizers and dinner and we came there to celebrate birthday. I have to say that the atmosphere in the restaurant seems lovely. Dimmed lights and candles on the tables and decorations were quiet cool. Despite that it was not the best outing expérience. I love asian fusion food and this was rather a disappointment.

A Memorable Dining Experience Worth the Wait and Every Dollar I recently visited this bustling restaurant tucked away in a lively part of town, and despite its discreet signage, it’s well worth seeking out. It’s located right next to The Shady Lady Bar and Night Club so keep an eye out, as you might miss it until you’re right in front of the door. This place is clearly in high demand, always buzzing with activity. I had made a reservation several days in advance, and even then, it was challenging to secure a table in my preferred area the courtyard. Fortunately, the staff went out of their way to accommodate my request and managed to reserve a cozy spot for two. Their customer service was outstanding from start to finish. I was especially impressed by how organized their reservation process was. They sent timely reminder emails and even followed up for confirmation the day before our booking, something I really appreciated. Now, onto the food: everything we ordered was served warm and full of flavor. The sticky pork belly was a standout, easily one of the best I’ve ever had. We also enjoyed the pork dumplings and the Katsu Sando, all beautifully presented and equally delicious. To finish, we shared the Vietnamese mousse, which was the perfect end to a fantastic meal. This spot is ideal for couples, groups of friends, and families alike. While the overall experience was excellent, do note that it’s on the pricier side, so be prepared for a higher bill. That said, for the quality of food and service, it’s absolutely justified. Highly recommended. I’ll definitely be back!

First stop for the night out, and we struck it lucky here, with half price cocktails on a Tuesday night. Definitely worth a visit for yummy cocktails, a cool vibe, young, friendly staff and competent cocktail bar staff. The decor is very eye catching, and the food on other diners' tables looked extremely inviting. Too bad we weren't booked in for dinner here, but will definitely head back for a meal when we visit again. October 2018 Update: One of the best Pan-Asian restaurants in Wellington, and what sets it apart is the professional and friendly service, and the bloody awesome flavours popping out of every dish! Thanks to our hosts, who apparently are perennial fans of Dragonfly, they rate this place for consistently great food. Definitely a food sharing type of place, and you’d be mad not to try as many dishes as possible on your visit. For us, that included starters of a burger bao special, Korean wings, salt and pepper squid, spring rolls, and the best edamame ever! Larger plates of pork belly, duck curry, beef rib, chicken ? and Asian greens were smashed. Along with 3 bowls of rice (jasmine and coconut), there was nothing left between 6 of us, and we were all pretty full, but eyeing up the last morsels on the plates till they were gone! A most enjoyable dining experience, and special mention to the cocktail staff who put together a very pleasing Mojito for my wife, with a whiskey base instead of gin as per the menu. Very highly recommended!
