Soho Restaurant — Restaurant in North Island

I just enjoyed a delightful late dinner with my family at this wonderful restaurant. It truly feels like a unique Chinese "canton" style dining experience right here in Rotorua. The food was absolutely incredible—much better than I expected. Not to mention, the prices are very reasonable. They even offer Yum Cha during dinner time. The owner personally welcomed each table with warm conversations, adding to the lovely atmosphere. The restaurant was spotless and the food was so delicious that I completely forgot to take any photos. I’m definitely looking forward to returning for another amazing meal! What I found especially heartwarming was seeing the whole family working together. I noticed a young boy helping out by cleaning tables and preparing for the next customers, which really touched me and highlighted the beauty of their culture. Togetherness truly...

I'm excited to realise this spot has delicious Yum Cha. I'm surprised it's not busier. We ordered prawn dumplings, pork soup dumplings, rice noodle roll, bbq pork buns, beef congee, pork n peanut dumplings and asked for a small plate of asian greens--not on the menu, but warmly accommodated my request. It all was delicious! And great value for money. We used to live in Wellington and had many delicious yum cha experiences there. Soho doesn't have the numbers like the city, so, plates aren't travelling around the room and you have to order. But our experience was on par with the bigger city for taste and probably more reasonable. Thank you,...

Alright. Very average dim sum place. We only came here for lunch because we left Auckland to do other touristy things and this was one of the few restaurants in the neighborhood. My first choice was somewhere else, but they weren't open today. We ordered a bunch of items: chicken feet, siu mai, baked char siu bao, chicken chow mein, and green beans with ground pork.

Beware that the dumplings do have an odd texture which stick together; my mom pointed this out. Thankfully, they had chrysanthemum which I rarely find at dim sum...
