Great find. Restaurant looks unassuming from outside but contains great culinary delights from a limited but scrumptious menu. Food is authentic, fresh and hits the right tastebuds! Service was friendly, prompt and helpful. Marked this for our next visit to New Plymouth as a new go-to for Vietnamese food. Oh yes, almost forgot. Food is well priced for those strapped for cash but out hunting for a good meal. :-}

Amazing Vietnamese food! Big portion and great service. We got too excited and order 3 dishes for two and the owner kindly told us that it might be too much food because their dishes come in large portion. Turned out she was right all along. The meat were cooked to perfection, so fragrant and juicy. The spring rolls were light and crispy. The soup in the Pho was on point! Would definitely go back again!

Had the Beef Pho and the Spicy beef noodles. The portion size is great and it's good value for money. The spicy noodles uses Bun Canh(maybe) noodles which is round, I can't say I prefer it to the Banh Pho which might be a better combination with the broth. The decor is pretty wierd and quirky can't say it's my favourite type of style but it's all good as long as it's relaxed. It's a good place to eat

We got back from Vietnam less than 48 hours ago and were craving the food still. Lucky for us this place exists and is open at 4pm on a rainy Sunday. Delicious, we felt we were right back in Hanoi while eating the Bun Cha and back in Hoi An while eating the Banh Mi. Some small differences of course - far less greens/herbs variety here than Vietnam, but NZ meat so much better.

Even the ambience and acoustic guitar covers of pop songs in the background were on point. I only wish there were more customers when we visited, support...

Beef noodle soup/beef pho. Absolutely delicious and nutritious. The pickled garlic available at table is very delicious and nutritious too. Loved the onion, spring onion, beef and broth. Kind team here. Grateful to get a nutritious meal here on easter Monday. Wanted miso from the mall but it was shut. I bet Viet Chefs other meals are just as amazing. This place is peaceful. New Plymouth's best restaurant! Absolutely love the food here it's authentic Vietnamese served by lovely staff/owners. The Bun Cha is an absolute must try and the most delicious one I have had outside of Vietnam. Delicious marinated pork belly, the juiciest and most flavourful mini spiced pork patties and a heaping pile of rice noodles and salad to dip- 10/10 yummy! The beef pho is also the best we have had in New Zealand. Terrific...
