Today, I went to check out their viral Filipino-inspired Halo Halo Mix Mix Sundae, and found out that they have moved. Their new location is not far away, and in my opinion, much easier to find than the old one.
The Halo Halo Mix Mix Sundae may appear a little bit on the pricey side, but with all the toppings that come with it (e.g. toasted cornflakes, coconut strips, crispy banana strips, ube coconut sorbet, ube jam, etc.), it is definitely worth it. I recommend checking out their social media, they have a post explaining in detail what is included inside the sorbet.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, patiently explaining the menu and promotions currently available in-store. They even checked in with me after I finished it to make sure everything was to my liking.
The only downside is that the spoon isn't long enough, making it difficult to reach or mix the sorbet near the bottom of the glass without touching the rim. However, aside from that, my experience was pretty good.
Overall, this is a unique place for those with a sweet tooth. I will definitely be back to try more flavors on their menu. They also have other items like cookies, brownies, and shakes. Highly...
Read moreI’m truly disappointed when I had your cookies and ice cream/gelato.
You guys had a truck at Matariki the other day by Waterfront. I thought it was nice because so many people were lining up.
I’ve gotten a doubles with brown sugar and dulce de leche. The brown sugar one I won’t say anything because it literally said its sugar but I don’t expect the dulce de leche to taste entirely like pure SUGAR. Yes it is caramelised milk but it tasted waaaaaaaaaay too sweet. I tried ube ice cream also and the sweetness overpowered the ube taste, at this point ube is just for the color.
And the cookies, texture wise it was good, moist, soft. I had matcha white choc cookie and no matcha taste was found. I was so upset.
I threw away the ice cream. I can only taste sugar. I could have given a 1 star review but I gave 3, because I know I didn’t come to your store and I tried the “food truck” one, maybe the store will have better quality.
I am willing to give another review if I come again to the store with better quality than what I had...
Read moreJust had the most amazing vandough cookies at Zelati's new Cuba Street store and I'm absolutely buzzing! These cookies are next level - perfectly chunky on the outside with the most incredible gooey centre that literally melts in your mouth. The texture is spot on, crispy edges with that heavenly molten middle that's so hard to get right.
The staff were absolutely lovely too, really friendly and you can tell they genuinely care about what they're doing which makes such a difference. The new store looks fantastic as well, really modern but still cozy and welcoming. Zelati has absolutely smashed it with both the food and the whole experience - already planning my next visit!
If you're in Wellington and haven't been yet, you're seriously missing out....
