Kapadokya Mediteranean & Turkish Cuisine — Restaurant in Palmerston North

Wouldnt make the choice to come back here. The reason I haven't given one star is because the food came out in a reasonable time.

-Staff staring/standing around while we eat -Squeaky chairs. Like that chilling chalkboard sound everytime a chair was moved along the ground. They could put some sort of covers over the chair bottoms to avoid this. Super annoying and disturbing. -Furniture rearrange. At rougly 7.15pm (pointing out it wasn't the end of the night) the staff started rearranging the furniture to accommodate for the next group coming in, but dragging the tables and chairs along the ground which again sounds like a chalkboard or feedback on a speaker for about 10-15 minutes. -Missing food items 5/6 orders came out and they had to go back into kitchen to make a plate up. -Extra charge for takeaway food containers... when did this start happening? Do all restaurants do this now? -Chicken Yavo gone downhill.. this used to be one of their most popular meals, but I think since new owners took over, it's gone WAAY down. It's meant to be a creamy Mushroom and chicken sauce atop chips with parmesan. Sounds easy enough but the "creamy" part of this meal was 100% missing. I got chicken & mushroom sprinkled with parmesan on chips. It didn't taste bad, but needed the creaminess as it was very boring and dry.

1 upside. They did take a charge for a drink off the bill to make up for the late/missing meal. It wasn't her drink, but.. thanks?

Edit: so we tried you again 🤔. Large group attended for work, expected wait time, however while food was ok service still shocking. Had to clean our own wine glasses the dust was caked on. Our entire table was served and the waitress asked me and another at our table 3 times what we ordered and finally our manager came to find out where our food was. 2.5hrs later when everyone else had finished their meals we are served, one packet of turkish delight to say sorry. 3rd time going here and I wouldnt recommend you based on the shocking service.

Nope not impressed. First time they had no wine glasses left we had to demand menus and finally ask for our waiter to take our order, your saving grace was the amazing food we were served that night, hence why i returned last night. We were seated, forgotten about (waitresses words) then I had to approach the staff after 45mins of waiting to make my order. After 2 hours with one jug of water between us, finally we had enough, I believe that's enough patience for one night, then I get a glass of water dumped down my leg by the same waitress who forgot she seated us there. Sorry but while the food is fantastic, the service was a disgrace on 2 separate ocassions. I have been informed there is a new manager however, new manager or not, the dirty cutlery, 2hr wait only to be informed we had been forgotten then to end with a glass of water in my lap, made this a truly unforgettable experience for all the...

Very dissapointed with our experience today. We ordered extra halloumi in our meals at $2.50 each, we were expecting two or three pieces per person but we only got one "thinner than thin" slice each. Poor customer service too, as they had 5 employees behind the counter, so you would have expected more attention to the diners, but we received nothing, nobody came to pick our plates nor asked us how the food was. We brought our dissapointment up with the lady at the counter and all we got from her was a "I'm sorry". Coming from a Hospitality background I thought this was not acceptable, good customer service is turning the whole situation around and hoping the guests change their mind - this obviously did not happen. The girls working here are only young and perhaps unexperienced, so that is when extra proper training needs to be provided to hopefully not lose any customers. Not coming back...
