06/04/2023 Very authentic thai food, perfect balance of flavour with generous portion. Very worth it of the price.

Tried the vermicelli seafood salad and it was so good!! The 3 dollar herbal jelly drink saved my life from dying from the spice.

Their crispy pork basil is a must to try!!!! So tasty.

Will come back again to try more food! Great service and environment. Super clean and nice

13/04/2023 The Tom kha is devinneeeee🥹sooooo gooooooooood, perfect for a cold day!!!! (Kind of like a milder version of tom yum)

Pad thai is super flavourful, very big portion!!

Ribs are very juicy, great side dish

The green curry is super creamy and savoury, matched perfectly well with som tum (a spicy sour savoury salad) which was a experience for your palate!! Showed it in the picture how we devoured the whole thing😅 want to be back for tom kha again haha~

21/04 Indeed we came back!! Tried cashew beef with tom kha, as good as before, soooo delicious and consistent with flavour. Favourite dish for us!! The thai ice tea is really tasty, kind of taste like plum! Goes well with hot and spicy food~ will come back to try cashew...

Asian Star is our go-to Thai Fix in Dunedin. It's easily one of my favourite spots in Dunedin. The flavours are vibrant, balanced, and consistently on point. My friends and I have been coming here for years, and we’ve definitely spent wayyy too much money because the food is just that good. At this point, they have a deathhold on us and honestly, we’re fine with it.

The Hainanese chicken and pad kee mao are our go-to orders. Both are packed with flavour and always cooked perfectly.

The drinks are a MUST try. The Thai tea is rich and comforting, while the Thai green milk tea is fresh, lightly sweet, and the ideal way to wrap up the meal.

Came from a small town at the border of Thailand, would say this is one of the most authentic Thai food in New Zealand for me! The food options are awesome, every dishes on the special menu is what I've been looking for as those dishes are very hard to find in the usual Thai restaurant. First time here, had the stewed pork leg on rice, tom yum, spring roll and the ihsan sausage. Every food just remind me taste of home! The owner is very friendly and welcoming. Too bad that this place is not here when I studied in Otago few years ago. And I hope they there'll be some options for Thai dessert on the menu soon. Such a gem! Highly...
