Love the food here, very cute atmosphere, and their cocktails and dessert are amazing. Definitely worth dining at. The only reason I give 4 stars instead of five is because both times my partner and I came here, the servers kinda just forgot about us towards the end of our meals? The first time we came here, we had great service at the beginning and middle. I ordered dessert and asked for a cocktail with it. The dessert came, cocktail never did, and after waiting for a bit we saw that our server was leaving for the night. We didn't think it was that big of a deal, as we weren't charged for the missing cocktail or anything (we figured the server just had a hard night and forgot, so we didn't make a fuss), so we just finished eating, paid and left. But a similar thing happened the second time we dined in. Again, great service at the start. We got our starters and cocktails, then ordered and ate our main meal. When we were done eating we stacked our plates while we waited for the waitress to come collect them and offer a dessert menu. She didn't come back to us, but was around taking care of other tables next to us, serving/clearing plates/offering dessert menus etc, so it's not like we were out of sight/out of mind. We sat and waited maybe 15-20 minutes after we had stacked our dinner plates together (to try and make it obvious we were done eating and make it easier for her to collect them). After that, we went up to the front register and were able to flag her down there to let her know we still needed service. At this point we were there so long, we decided to just get dessert to go instead of eating in. So overall, good experience and great food/drinks, but being forgotten about at the end of the night sullies the experience slightly. We'll still come back for the yummy food, I just hope the third time will be the charm =) [I also want to note that the second time we came, there was not a kallpod...
Read moreMy son I decided to go for birthday Dinner. Made the reservation on line.We got a Thank you email for supporting our local businesses in the current economic times. We got ready dressed the occasion and were looking forward to spending time having a nice meal. The service was ok friendly and casual from the 5 staff members that served us. Our main waitress was warm and friendly.
The meals came out quickly and my son's was to high standard well presented and he enjoyed it. My meal was however disappointing. Vegetarian midnight nachos. There was a lot of cornchips the plate was hot, there was a small portion of the nacho topping which was dry and the roast vegetables were small chunks and coldin the bean dip. When asked about the meal we reported that son's meal was great and mine was not so great the plate was abruptly taken away. Then I was told the kitchen asked if I wanted something else. I said some seasonal vegetables a small came out. Which I did eat and they were enjoyable, however not filling. The bill came and I was charged for the nachos that disappeared. When I questioned this I was told that According to the Manager that because I had eaten some of the nachos that did not come back to the table and the side dish bowl of vegetables. That is why I was being charged full price for the meal. The cashier did offer to take one drinks off the bill. Really the comstomer service and querying of the poor quality of the meal and the experience. I did pay the full bilI stated that we not be returning or supporting this local business again. I had shared with my friends and clients that we were going and will share my...
Read moreThis is going to be a harsh review so please, be prepared. The restaurant itself is so dark, we almost needed a torch to see where to go. I understand the need for mood lighting but my husband and I were wondering what they were trying to hide! When our meals arrived, I was expecting something wonderful for the price. No. It wasn't wonderful. I described it like this on the night. "This looks like there are three giant cauldrons in the kitchen. One for beige slops, one for green slops and one for brown slops." I got the beige slops (chicken), my husband got the brown slops (beef) and the green slops? I have no idea. It was vile, it was expensive and it was depressing. We were asked by the waitress how our meals were and I just couldn't answer her. My plate was left three quarters untouched and my husbands half. There's no point telling the wait staff what was wrong as they only deliver the meals. They shouldn't have to take the flak for awful food! And we all know what happens when you complain about food in a restaurant! I was warned by friends not to go to a lone star restaurant but it was our closet choice, how bad can it be? Significantly apparently. P.S. What would be the point of following it up? Maybe have side dishes for sauces instead of making dead meat swim? Add veges as part of the meal instead of having to spend more to get them? Dunno, your restaurant, you run it how you like. I was just a customer who needed a guide dog to leave and telling other customers to make sure you get what you pay for and say something instead of sitting there being polite...
