We usually like to support small businesses when we travel but sometimes, it doesn't pay to do so. The place probably started out with noble intentions of providing homey Asian food to travelers but I think popularity got the better of the place. OK here goes: We ordered the BBQ pork noodles, pork and prawn wonton noodles and a set of pan fried dumplings. To be fair, not all was bad. The pan fried dumplings were fine. The noodles, however, were a different story altogether. The noodles were under cooked, and was lacking soup so the noodles were clumpy. We asked if the noodles could be further tossed in boiling water, we were told no. We attribute it to the restaurant being manned by ONE staff. The cooking, cashier machine, and cleaning was done by 1 person. I really do hope that the owners buck up, and not become a tourist trap. P/S: NZD24 for a bowl of undercooked noodles, and poor service...

It is a spacious, clean and relaxing restaurant with beautiful Chinese or Western music on!! Also, it is very close to the typical red house , wharf of glenorchy, and very close to the walkway to the lagoon of Glenorchy, so it is a great idea to take a rest, have a lunch or a tea here after visiting Glenorchy. 🤭 Besides, staffs here are super nice, friendly and helpful ☺️ . Boss is very fun and gentle !😆 Wide range of food is provided here, including dumplings, rice, and noodles etc. All the food here is very traditional Chinese taste and style! So if you want to know the taste of traditional Chinese dishes, come here! If you miss the taste of traditional Chinese dishes, come here!! For me, I really love the mix dumplings, Wonton noodles soup and BBQ pork rice! They are super delicious! 😋 Lastly, I must say I enjoy my moment in Queenie's Dumpling of...

We came there two persons, order 1 pork rib noodle n 1 dumpling w a chinese lady but somehow she misunderstood n gave us 2 noodles so she asked the Kiwi/NZ tall guy (chef), the guy came to me n confirmed that he heard himself that I gave the confirmation of the order which I didnt say anything because the chinese lady didnt ask me what did we order. We dont want to argue w him so then we ask about the receipt and he said its "too late". We were shock by his rude statement so we just eat and left. The noodle or dumplings not really as good as in the picture and service is really really bad. It was a...

We were here looking for a place to eat and chanced upon this restaurant. It was quite crowded during lunch and the restaurant was abit overwhelmed with orders. Already many items were already sold out by 12.30pm. We ordered their dumplings to try out. Had to wait at least 30mins before we got our food. No complaints as there were many customers already ahead of us. The dumplings ( fried ones ) was quite tasty and delicious. If you crave for Asian food , this is the only place available in Glenorchy.

It was a very beautiful day in Glenorchy and this restaurant was a really nice surprise for me. The staff was amazing, so kind and helpful. Me and my homestay family tried several types of meal (soups, dumplings, rice and pork, juice) there. We shared and everyone could taste everything. I actually liked everything I tried. However the best was the rice with pork and sweet sauce which is not on the pictures. 😀
