Twice we have ordered takeaway Karaage Chicken Curry from here. The first time, they gave us the wrong order - Karaage, but not curry. It was smothered in store bought barbecue sauce, and not nice. We didn't realise until we got home so we just ate it and didn't complain. Today however, I had another go at very clearly ordering a Karaage CURRY. I could see she wasn't really paying attention, and wasn't overly surprised when they brought out Karaage, not curry, but again smothered in sweet, sickly barbeque sauce. I told her I ordered a curry, and could I please get the correct order, and I was happy to wait (I was as sweet as the barbecue sauce). I waited another 10 minutes while they heated up the sauce (presumably in a microwave) as I watched her open a plastic container and pour curry sauce OVER the original order. So yeah, we still got given the wrong order but with curry sauce on top. Fantastic. FYI barbecue sauce on chicken isn't nice either on its own or with curry sauce. It's bad enough they gave us the wrong order twice in a row, but then we told them and they STILL gave us the wrong order again (but with sauce on top). SERIOUSLY? Obviously won't be returning. I was pointed to the dining room and seated myself and the waitress brought out water for me.
I ordered the salmon Bento Box and asked if they had juice, as there were no drinks mentioned on the menu. The waitress told me the juice was in the drinks fridge in the takeaway area of the restaurant and directed me to get it myself.
My miso soup arrived and it was a little bland, but enjoyable.
Then the bento box - it looked good. Unfortunately looks were deceiving. The salmon was mushy and served in a lot of what tasted like blackbean sauce with lots of broccoli also swimming in the sauce. The sushi had vegetables and something white in it that looked like chicken but didn't have the texture of chicken and it tasted unpleasant as did the sushi rice. I was making my way around this food when the tipping point came - I discovered a hair in my rice.
I took the half eaten meal to the counter and showed them. They announced they would take $5 off the price for me. I told them the issues with the rest of the meal, paid and left.

I asked the cook about it, and she said I should have told her before - I said that it was in my last mouthful. She looked like she didn't believe me, shrugged her shoulders and went to walk away, offering nothing to remedy the problem. I spoke to her daughter who was helping out and recommended that they try to be more decent to their customers, otherwise it affects their reputation. I said that under those circumstances, they should apologise and offer something to the customer - a chocolate bar or a refund or anything! She asked if I would like a chocolate bar - I said no, but thanked her anyway. I hope her daughter got the point so they can improve their business.
