Noodle Box — Restaurant in South Island

Spent $40 for two 'meals' and some spring rolls tonight (the most flavoursome part!). The sweet and sour chicken was fine, but only got about 6 pieces of battered chicken with some bland, boiled noodles dumped in oil, not fried at $18.90 a serving, I should've just made this myself. Sambal noodles we also got with chicken, it had absolutely no flavour, again just boiled noodles dumped in oil, and the chicken tasted like it has been sitting in a refridgerator for a week, also had an awful smell to it, like a health and safety ordit waiting to happen. Nothing more annoying than getting your food all the way home to a hungry family to realize both of your chicken dishes are completely raw in the middle. Except maybe when you drive all the way back to the shop and they refuse to give you a refund because they don’t have the facilities, when you actually paid in cash! And then to be told it’s actually cooked and you don’t know what you’re taking about. Umm, I know what raw chicken looks like! And my daughter had already eaten a piece! Has it changed you ask... YES it has. 3 people, one translating and showing the others how to use the till. The food had been cooked in something that tasted burnt. Our food wasn't burnt but tasted burnt and smokey. Very greasy. Bits of chicken in the chow mein were so small they were hard to find. Seafood dish was ok but smokey. Mimimal veggies, but cut nice and small. $49. For 2 meals and a plate of noodles for a child, 2 cans of drink and a bottle of water. Not too bad price wise. We won't be going...
