Really disappointed about the service we got.last Monday we went to the restaurant to celebrate a birthday. Two of us went to the restaurant at 5 pm and made a reservation for 10 adults and 4 kids ,we all arived by 7.30 and they haven't arranged a table for us .so we have to wait 15 mins at the reception. That was the first wait and then we had to wait 1.5 hours for our food to arrive. No one came and informed us that there is going to be a delay with preparing food they waited until we asked from them .Had four hungry kids with us . All the restaurant staff went passed our table several times without even acknowledging us. We ordered mango lassi only got two then they ranout of that . What a unpleasant buriyani we had in our whole life so far .Presentation of that was not appealing at all.on the menu it says it comes with papadam and Raita but they forgot to serve raita we had to ask it from them and then had to wait another 10 minutes until it arrives as they run out of yogurt. Overall we had a very unpleasant and disappointed service. After several hours delay, we would love a good delicious meal instead of that we recived some food that have made for sake of making it . Please do not take any reservations in future if you cant handle it.If you cant handle the pressure of having too many customers and not having enough ingredients in your kitchen to cater customer orders. Please update customers and let them know when you having a delay.Service charge and drink cost is not a big deal when we willing to pay good price for good food . And train your staff to be polite and teach them to keep a smile on their face while working even tho they are super busy that will make your place more appeling for your customers as well as to your staff. Afterall sorry to say We would not recommend this restaurant in Blenheim.

Went for lunch (31-05-22) was impressed with the attentive and professional service shown from Atish. Wether a Blenheim local or a visitor to the Marlborough region I would highly recommend a visit to Taramind restaurant specialising in Southern Indian cuisine. We ordered Taramind mixed platter with kerala chicken fry, chick pea battered prawns and an assortment of vegetable Bhaji. The chicken was flavoursome succulent and tender, the prawns cooked perfectly and the Bhaji light & fluffy. For mains we ordered Chettinadu chicken curry, Butter chicken & Kerala fish curry, accompanied with 3 Garlic Parotta (Southern Naan) We hadn't tried the Chettinadu curry previously and it didn't disappoint it was delicious, the Butter chicken was one of the best we've ever tasted & the Kerala fish was superb without being overcooked, with succulent morsels of chunky pieces of fish. The Parotta is also a scrumptious Southern Indian take on traditional Naan which was almost pastry like in its texture. We've frequented several Indian restaurants throughout NZ and this is differently one of the best if not the best in the Marlborough region.

Dropped in for an early Sunday dinner and left with mixed feelings. We ordered the coconut prawns to start, followed by butter chicken and garlic naan. The restaurant itself has potential but could really benefit from a refresh and a bit more brightness. The music was slightly too loud, though we could still hold a conversation. As for the food – the entrée was a letdown. The chickpea batter on the prawns soaked up a lot of oil, leaving them overly greasy, and the sauce didn’t do much to save the dish. The butter chicken had a nicely balanced tomato tang, but the sweetness was over the top and overwhelmed the other flavours. Thankfully, the garlic naan was a highlight – light and flaky, like a naan crossed with filo pastry – quite delightful. That said, the portions of both naan and rice were on the stingy side. Service felt a bit off too – possibly just an off night, but the hospitality could use some polishing. Quite slow too as we ordered before another table but out food came after theirs. All in all, there’s some promise here, but it feels like the experience could be elevated with a few thoughtful improvements.

Food was amazing services not so much. We booked a week ahead and were placed in a tiny corner right next to the till where our every move was watched. Our starters were quick and fast but when our main was still not there after an hour we began wondering why everyone else in the restaurant who had ordered after us had had their food and left, so we asked. They informed us they had lots of takeaways and it would be out shortly. Another 10 15 minutes went by and the waitress in charge became rude and abrupt, mid conversation with us she ran back to the till to answer the phone, making a comment regarding important takeaway orders. It appeared takeaway orders were way more important than paying visiting patrons and we were treated more as an inconvenience than paying guests. Mains finally arrived and after most of us had finished 15 minutes in, the waitress in charge started clearing the table whilst some of us were still eating, making the whole experience rushed and uncomfortable. If you want to experience the very good food avoid the very poor customer service and grab a takeout, as apparently that's their main priority anyway.
