Would not recommend under any circumstances.
First off, the toilets were disgusting. Faeces smeared over 2 of the 3 toilet seats at 7.30pm on a Tuesday.
We arrived at 7.30pm and ordered drinks. First, no drinks menu at all, reason was "not printed yet". The Fairweathers Chicken Stack was also unavailable. We waited half an hour for 2 Lemon, Lime and Bitters and a couple of kids drinks.
At 8:30pm (after table 9 had walked out because they were waiting over an hour) I asked how long the food would be. I was told another 15 minutes (more like double it by the time it arrived).
The kids meals then arrived all had salads missing (one meal was wrong altogether) and the kids Crispy Crumbed Chicken Fingers were actually frozen (assuming) chicken nuggets. After I inquired, we were given 2 kids salads (even though we had 3 kids meals ordered). I had given up at this point and didn't ask for an additional salad.
Our food arrived at 8:55pm. Half of the food on the table was stone cold. Another kids meal was bought out which was not ordered and returned. When asked if there was anything else, we were missing a couple of shared fries which were eventually bought out.
Throughout the hour and a half while we were waiting, not one person approached us asking if we would like some starters or more drinks. The only time we got drinks was when we finally managed to get a staff member's attention for some water.
The staff did apologise for the delay and their reason was that "it's been happening all night". From prior reviews, it sounds like "all night" is more like "the last 2 months".
A table of 10 people spending over $400 and we weren't even offered complimentary starters or drinks. I will...
Read moreThe steak special seemed great the first couple of visits but after a while the steaks became fatter before it was more grissle than meat. Went in the other morning to try their breakfast. Our encounter began with the holier than though middle aged barkeep who seemed pleased with her ability to multitask (taking our order while quietly judging us).
We found a completely empty dining area and grabbed an oversized booth. Our coffee and my bloody Mary arrived thanks to a very friendly server and far superior experience compared to our initial encounter.
Our Eggs Benedict arrived in good time but it was a disappointing sight. A mostly naked poached egg with a thick tablespoon of hollandaise spiraled in a crown shape perched on top of black burnt to a crisp bacon on a thick burger bun piece of bread. Somehow managing to overcook the yolks while the whites remained runny.
My husband generously described his meal as the worst eggs Benedict he'd ever had. All for $71 being both the most expensive, lowest quality meal I've had to date.
I won't...
Read moreSome friends and I had lunch here yesterday, generally we had an enjoyable time the food was tasty and well presented, there was a good choice. however we did have one or two problems; first of all was the menu, or should I say menus. There was an a la carte type menu which we first looked at, then we noticed a bar lunch menu which we discovered was not available on Sunday (Why? We never found out) and there was a small chalk board on the bar with the chief's special on it. It was a bit confusing to simple folk like us. Three of us received our order quite quickly. However the forth member of the group had to go and chase up her order, apparently the chit had been hidden behind another and had not been processed. The mistake was quickly remedied, and extra food was brought to the table by way of compensation. the staff were kind and sympathetic through out. I would still recommend giving Fairweather's a try it has a good friendly atmosphere and the food is...
