I had an extremely disappointing experience at Mango Indian Restaurant in Blenheim. I encountered poor customer service that involved a rude staff member. Here's what happened: I ordered food with a soft drink and specifically asked for the drinks in a can. Initially, a waitress brought the drinks in glasses, which I declined, asking for them to be served with the meal as originally requested. She returned with the same drinks in glasses, and by then, they had just turned into sweet water. An employee, who was quite rude, approached me, arguing that accommodating my request would lead to waste. I agreed to pay for the untouched drinks to resolve the issue. However, about ten minutes later, the same employee returned with two glasses filled half-and-half from a new can, which I also refused. To my surprise, the bill included a charge of $20 for four soft drinks that we never consumed, accompanied by further rude treatment.
Boycotting all Mango restaurants and also will spread this on different forums. Will do a campaign, and will try to launch a legal complaint as well.

The response seems immature. If the table was reserved, it should have been clearly marked, which it wasn’t. I would never knowingly sit at a reserved table, and nobody asked me about it. Additionally, there was no sign indicating that reservations were necessary.
Regarding the fries I ordered for my son, the waiter suggested that if they were out of stock, I could purchase them from another Turkish restaurant and have them delivered through the back door. but, he later confirmed that fries were available, though they were served in a disappointing condition and weren’t fresh.
Also, I want to correct your assertion: I clearly asked for the beverage to be served in a can. Moreover, the waiter’s behavior was unacceptable. He tried to serve a mix of refilled and fresh drinks in one can, which I never requested.
I believe I handled the situation with dignity.
Your responses are misrepresent the truth. Regarding the photo that I took from your Instagram page, I used it because I was unsure of the waiter's name. If you provide his name, I will remove the photo and add his name instead. Also, I noticed an incorrect charge for one item, which I initially overlooked.

Read moreThis restaurant looks good on the inside and outside, and the music and atmosphere is inviting. My wife and I both ordered Malaysian Laksa (chicken) .. it was a bit pricier than other Laksa we had at other restaurants but we were hungry and this dish is one of our favourites.
The dish was served relatively quickly but we were instantly disappointed when the waiter brought out 2 small breakfast bowls (like the ones I eat my cereal from) full of Laksa. The chicken wasn't the best but it was ok, there were hardly any noodles in the dish (noodles are normally the champion of a laksa dish), and my "Indian hot" came out medium at best ... unfortunately we both finished our meals so quickly that the spice didnt even get a chance to activate.
We really felt cheated and gave the waitress feedback at the counter... we were still hungry after our meal after our "entree" sized Laksa ... for $18 per dish I would never recommend this to anyone...

Bad service and the manager ‘Randeep Brar’ was very rude ,we waited almost 40 mins for starters(which arrived with no cutlery and we were kept staring at the food until we went ourselves and requested for it). On enquiring about the dinner ordered, he raised his voice and told us that you have to first finish your starters then wait another 10 mins then the dinner arrives when we were already been waiting for over 40mins.
THE BEST PART- from the reaction of the manager we decided to pay and leave.So before we could request to cancel the order, he himself shouted out to the chef in the kitchen to cancel the order in Punjabi. This was humiliating and he didn’t even apologise for his behaviour and kept telling us that it’s a 10mins wait after the starters. Understand that they were busy but that’s not the way to treat your customers. NEVER GOING BACK!!
