War Memorial Clock Tower — Attraction in South Island

It's a pretty little park with a stupid no bike sign that I chose to ignore. Supposedly, lots of people have lunch there, not in my experience have I seen lots of people lunching there. They have events and fetes there and it is packed then. Prove me wrong, go have lunch there. I did not see a water bubbler there to drink from so bring your own drinks as well as food. Das 1928 errichtete Kriegsdenkmal in Blendheim erinnert nicht nur an die im 1.Weltkrieg gefallene Einheimischen. Hinzugefügte Inschriften erinnern an Gefallene des 2. Weltkrieges und nachfolgender Kriege unter britischer Führung in Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Borneo und Südvietnam. Es ist ein markanter ca. 16 Meter hoher steinerner Glockenturm mit Uhr. Er steht auf einem 7-stufigen Sockel im Zentrum eines schönen Parks, umgeben von Rasenflächen, Blumenbeeten und einem Springbrunnen.
