55 Cafe — Restaurant in Upper Harbour

I wouldn’t go there, the food and coffees were great…. If they actually made their way to the table. A couple of months ago a group of us went and waited for almost 2 hours before our kitchen order show up after we asked about it. The food served wasn’t hot, more like room temperature. Today we thought we’d give them a 2nd chance. Having the past experience with kitchen orders, we opted for cabinets food instead. I ordered a pie and so did my friend, we did asked what sort of pie it is but you waitress couldn’t confirmed, so we just said it doesn’t matter, just get us a pie each, whatever it is. After just over an hour, we were still waiting on one coffee out of the eight that we ordered and our pies were nowhere to be seen, upon asking a waitress, a few mins later we were told the beef pies were sold out but there are chicken pies if that ok. It took you over an hour to inform your customer their order is sold out and offer alternatives??? It took another 15 mins before the missing coffee was brought to the table.

Come her from time to time, the food is on the high end price wise compared to a lot of other cafes which I don't mind but the quality of ingredients used is average, eggs bene comes on a packet English muffins and the Caesar salad is $22 with no protein, add chicken ($9) is $31, the chicken and bacon is pre cooked and dry, at least for that price it could be cooked fresh.

The taste of the food was good however.

Also the 3 girls working on Saturday seemed more interested in hanging out by the counter talking than taking anyone's order as after 10ish mins we had to wave to get their attention to order drinks and food.

Nice atmosphere but overall needs some tweets, if you're aiming for high end, like the decor and price would suggest match it by having some high end ingredients and waiters, probably won't be heading back...
