Worst experience in Auckland in my life.

Waited for nearly half an hour for food after order. People came after me strated to eat while my table was the only one still waiting. 10 minutes later I was told that I changed my order so the kitchen team took my order slip away. To be clear, I didn't have to change my order if you have food in stock. Double charged bill. I paid for my bill then my partner paid again. No one realized the problem until I rushed back to cafe. I asked for payment return in cash then the kitchen lady started to mumbled like she was doing some great things to save the day. To the kitchen lady: If you did not put my order slip away I would not be that unpleasant. Coffee guy offered us cakes for free for inconvience. Thank you, but teamwork and food quality are more important for improvement in the near future. Vibe was nice, most of staff was kind and warm. Have visited this cafe a few times. Always been great. Great service, excellent food. Wonderful atmosphere. However the last two visits a different story. I noticed a change. The last visit was the visit that made me decide to never put foot back here again. Raw chicken served to my husband. Chef was called out argued that it wasn't raw. Tried to tell me the pink was due to it being thigh meat. I told him no. I am a chef and know it's not the case. We cut another piece open which was cooked and said to him and why is that white then? This was my first visit to Copper Spot Café, and I was genuinely impressed. The service was warm and attentive, the presentation was beautiful, and the flavours were absolutely spot on. Their jam deserves a special mention—so fresh and full of flavour, it really elevated the dish.

What stood out most was how seriously they take your preferences. They’re happy to customise your food to suit your needs, which makes the whole experience feel personal and thoughtful.

In my opinion, Copper Spot Café easily ranks in the top 5 cafés in Auckland. With their quality, taste, and hospitality, I’ll definitely be visiting often.
