This was a drive through visit where I specifically asked for two medium sized 'McCafe' hot chocolates. The lady taking the order on the speaker was very blunt with no friendly manner. The hot chocolates were warm, not piping hot, and when I took a second sip, at the window, I realized it was the standard cheap hot chocolate (the one that is sometimes on special for $1) and not the McCafe standard one. I didn't drive off, the lady at the window got the duty manager and without any apology said for me to wait in the parking bay (for my replacenent), I also said that it had marshmallows in the hot chocolate which I've never had before for a McCafe hot chocolate, only the cheap ones. The replacement hot chocolates were brought to my car, I opened the lid and took a sip, it seemed correct. After driving away and a few more sips it got incredibly sweet again and tasted like the cheap hot chocolate powder mix. To my surprise there were again two marshmallows in each of the cups. My only presumption was they topped up the original incorrect hot chocolates with the McCafe hot chocolate. Leaving in the nasty sweet hot chocolate and marshmallows at the bottom. I had driven too far to take back. Please beware if you order a McCafe hot chocolate and I'd advise people to watch them make it at the correct machine. Read moreWe literally are in a rush to the greenhithe Santa parade so we decided to get something from the drive through. As part of the order we requested a frappe. We parked up and waited all was ok until a young employee came out with a regular coffee cup... we asked if it was a frappe he said yes we then assured him that farppes are not hot... the poor guy had no idea what the difference was between a regular coffee and a frappe, soon enough he said his boss had been yelling at him and that he'd correct the mistake, he then came out to inform us that the machine was broken and if we wanted anything else ... so we said no thanks just the refund. He came back about 5 minutes later with the refund. Also at the same time as we drove off we realised that the Coke Zero which we had ordered was a regular coke which in this case would be ok if the person who had ordered wasnt a type one diabetic. We have been here a few times in the past and I have to say the orders have always come out wrong. So here's some positive criticism to the franchise owner: actively be invoilved and train your staff correctly as you are letting them down by not setting them up properly at the start of their careers, the reflection ultimately comes back to you not the staff members they just get the customers direct emotions which you should be sheltering them from or preventing this...
Read moreWe have to that restaurant last Wednesday morning, and we have been treated rudely, plus serious races issues. The manager there, Leslie, said we took her 2 coffee from the counter, but actually, we only received one coffee. Leslie said our faces have been recorded on their security camera, taking their 2 coffee. I asked her to show me the footage as evidence, and she said she can't. Leslie and another manager, Samone, have been lying all the time. We then contacted McDonald Head office, and the staff, Sean, said he would ask owner to call me. After 1 week, there's no call. I asked Sean, and he said the owner has already called me last Saturday. I confirmed to him there's no call from owner, then Sean said the owner didn't call me due to technical issue (a phone call has technical issue???). Finally, the owner, Jenny, called me and started to point the finger to us, saying it's all our fault. Jenny said she checked the camera, and we only took one coffee, not two. I asked her why Leslies said we took 2coffee, she said she doesn't anything about that part. During the whole phone call, this so-call owner, was behaving very rudely (just same as her staff), and kicking the ball all the time!
