I am deeply compelled to share my recent, horrific experience at the Albany Burger King on the 31st of December 2023. As a member of a group of 16, including children aged 1 to 12, our visit was marred by a shocking and hazardous incident that demands immediate attention.
We ordered 7 Southern Fried Chicken burgers, only to discover that each one harbored a significant amount of mould on the bottom layer. Alarming as this was, the repercussions of feeding these contaminated burgers to our young ones were even more distressing.
Upon bringing this grave issue to the attention of the staff, particularly Ms. Jellean, the response was nothing short of appalling. Not only did Ms. Jellean dismiss the severity of the food safety concern with a mere "sorry," but she also proceeded to laugh at our predicament with her colleagues. This heartless behavior continued despite the visible distress of a crying one-year-old.
Attempts to escalate the matter to management were met with further frustration. Ms. Jellean claimed that both the restaurant manager, Zuhair, and the area manager, Cecil, were unavailable and unwilling to address the situation. Even as I insisted on involving higher-ups, the staff's refusal to halt new orders and Ms. Jellean's mockery persisted.
In a desperate effort to bring attention to this egregious lapse, I exhibited the mouldy burgers to other waiting customers. Shockingly, there was no effort to collect my contact details, and the staff remained apathetic to the well-being of my infant and the other children.
This incident is not only a blatant violation of food safety standards but also an utter disregard for customer welfare. I implore Burger King to conduct a thorough investigation, promptly dismiss the individuals responsible, and reassess your suppliers and internal safety protocols. Urgent action is crucial to prevent further harm to unsuspecting patrons.

What’s worse, she then insinuated that I was trying to scam the store! Instead of admitting her mistake or double-checking the system, she chose to accuse me. This was not only insulting but completely unprofessional.

I have my whole family including 2 young kids with us at that time. The dinner became a disaster.
I lodged a complaint with Burger King’s customer service, but I’ve received no response at all. The fact that they ignore customer concerns speaks volumes about how little they care.
Burger King, do you think this is acceptable?
I demand a formal apology and compensation for the distress and humiliation caused by your staff’s actions. Treating customers like this is disgraceful.
