Gurume is a cute little sushi restaurant tucked away from the main street of Ponsonby inside a courtyard next to Ponsonby terrace road.

The food is fresh, vegetarians have very limited option but they are fresh and delicious. One of the best Miso soups I have ever tried.

The chicken sushi from Mercury Plaza long held a special place in my heart and when I heard that the guys had opened a new place I had to visit straight away. The traditional chicken and avo sushi brings you straight back to Mercs but all their new range was amazing, I highly recommend this place and I’ll be back later this week to try everything else.
