Allpress Coffee Ponsonby — Restaurant in Waitematā

I was in today to pick up our weekly coffee. We only have a single card, and my husband had it, so after a couple of searches on the system, I said I was happy to wait until the coffee rush was over. I waited patiently for 15 minutes, only to be served by someone else who was rude and impatient with me as he could not find our details in your system. I called my hubby and and got the card number (ie- I tried!!!) I appreciate that bringing your card makes it easier, but I've worked in retail for years with loyalty cards (and the annoyance of looking up their details!) and wouldn't dream of speaking to someone the way I was spoken to. We are regular customers, but will seriously consider taking our business elsewhere, which is disappointing, cause we love...

The best coffee in Ponsonby? Quite possibly! My pilgrimage from the UK wasn't the most comprehensive, but there's a reason I came here two days in a row.

My long black the first day was excellent and I liked having a pot of hot water for you to adjust it to your liking. Mind you, the espresso is so frickin' good that I could drink it all day.

The soya flat white today was the best I've had in either Melbourne or Auckland. Lovely milk texture with the espresso blend coming through strong. I suppose the Kiwis really did perfect it in the end ;) My wife's soya latte was excellent even if it took a while to reach her optimum drinking temperature!

Went to café yesterday and served by a different group of staff. One of the staff had charged me for the biscuits that I've ordered but did not serve them within reasonable time. I have to ask about my order twice and finally got served by another staff. Normally I went to this café on Sundays and the staff are way friendlier. This time I guess I should visit the café...
